Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

(hullo i'm new!) I'm working on a scarf for myself right now in an asexual flag colorway (it's a fingering-weight merino, it's so soft and it's so pretty!) I started it a couple days ago after Eight Entire Months of not having the mental space to do anything with crocheting because of the pandemic. It's coming along slowly, but it's coming along, and it's so nice to watch it come together and to be able to Be Making Something again!

craft i'm proudest of: I made my own mezuzah recently--it's basically a clear mezuzah case with layers of gem chips in sixteen different colors and the scroll off to the side. it's really lovely to look at, it was delightfully fun to make, and it's on my office door so I get to look at it every day :)

So glad you're at last able to rediscover your crafting mojo and start making something. The scarf sounds very cosy.

How wonderful to make your mezuzah. I'm a big fan of gemstones, and that's a lovely way to use them, with all the different colours on display. Definitely something to be proud of.

Right?? It was wild. On the bright side, in those eight months I did manage to write and post my first original fic! I’m definitely glad to have the mental space to create things again, and I’m hoping it’ll stay put for me now :)

Thank you! It makes me very happy :) i made it to (sort of) match my bedroom mezuzah, and now I’ve got five pounds of leftover gem chips and a burning need for little glass jars to fill with them!
