need advice for altering semi circular shawls

Hi all! I mentioned it in the check-in, but I'm gonna make a full post!

There's a pattern that I'd been eyeing, and finally bought it, and the materials for it - hooray!
However I was checking project notes and it looks like I'll have to make some alterations to get it how I want it.
So I'd like some advice from people who have experience knitting this style of shawl, and possibly someone to cast an eye over that parts I've changed. But honestly, any advice about altering this style would go a long way!!

Introduction

Hi all, I'm Theo (any pronouns), 25, currently living in Boorloo/Perth.
I've been knitting for 6 years, and crocheting for a couple of months!
Lately I've got deeply into c2c crocheting, and having made a small scale Miffy (almost complete!), I'm about to start on a rather large c2c blanket of an adventure mouse that a friend drew.
My current knitting project is a mesh t-shirt, after that's done, I'm going to make a short rows scarf/shawl, which I've dreamed of making for years.
I'm excited to be part of this community!
