need advice for altering semi circular shawls

Hi all! I mentioned it in the check-in, but I'm gonna make a full post!

There's a pattern that I'd been eyeing, and finally bought it, and the materials for it - hooray!
However I was checking project notes and it looks like I'll have to make some alterations to get it how I want it.
So I'd like some advice from people who have experience knitting this style of shawl, and possibly someone to cast an eye over that parts I've changed. But honestly, any advice about altering this style would go a long way!!

That's gorgeous, and it can be worn so many ways!

I'm an experienced knitter, but I've never made a shawl so I probably wouldn't be able to advise you on alterations to the pattern =(

Good luck though, I hope you can find out whatever it is you need to know.

Also, it's so nice that people are FINALLY starting to make their own posts about their projects. The community has always been open for members to do that, but hardly anyone takes advantage of it. No idea why.

thanks for the luck...I'll need it! (getting very close to just giving it a go without advice and seeing how it looks anyways, can always rip it out and do it again!!)

Sometimes trial and error is the best way of figuring things out. It's my go-to method whenever I start something new.
