Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: How many projects do you have on the go right now?
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I've forgotten, what are you cross stitching at present?

Anyway, I decided I wanted a V-neck, so this evening I knitted 10 rows on the front and divided for the neck. I've done all the neck shaping on one side, just need to do maybe 10 rows straight before casting off the shoulder. Then I have to do the other side of the neck to match, and after that I can start a sleeve, which again I'll have to figure out as I go. Just have to hope it all works.

Some more angels
I thought the green background would bring out the colours better; I was wrong. Anyway, I have one set of "feathers" left, but those are really way too large for these angels. Perhaps I'll make a bigger one, from longer lolly sticks, just for the fun of it.

Tapestry = 1
Cross stitch = 3 (that I can think of)
Crochet - Blankets = 2
- socks = 1
Knitting - I suspect there is a sweater around that I was working on at some point - it will probably get unravelled at this point as I have no idea which pattern it was or where it went
- doesn't really count as a proper project but the scarf for my niece's toy horse that I was doing as she tried to learn and will pick up again next time she visits.
Felting - Angels - some practice pieces building up to an actual angel
Scrapbook type project - kind of complicated to explain - it was a travel journal project and there is a lot left to do but I've also never scrapbooked before.
Patchwork = 1 I started trying to teach myself, but ever the optimist I started with a quilt and didn't really know what I was doing!
Colouring book - those mindfulness kind of colouring books = 2
Jigsaw (does that count?) - 1 part done.
Mind you answering that is still better than having to admit how many projects I've acquired that I haven't even started!
I did a bit of work on the tapestry tonight before I started to get tired and rather than risk falling asleep working on it again, I've packed up and got ready for bed.

That's a great variety of projects, and here jigsaws definitely count. I tend to stick to online jigsaws at present though, because I can't lose the pieces.
I was in that position with the sweater I'm working on now. No idea what pattern I'd been using, but I didn't want to unravel it because the lumpy yarn would make that really tricky, hence me making it up as I go along *grins*
Can you believe I forgot to answer my own question?
Knitting - Red sweater, white sweater with grey blobs, white summer top that just needs sewing up, arm warmers ditto, other red sweater that's being unravelled in preparation for knitting up to a different pattern.
Cross stitch, about 6 small pieces for cards.
Un-started projects? A room full of yarn, and at least 50 cross stitch kits. I really need to get around to working on some of those!

I’m still plying the current spin. It’s the longest, most endless plying I’ve done in memory… I’ve been at it for 2 evenings and probably have one more to go. That said, it also spun quite thin so the yardage should be awesome.

1 Spin on the wheel
1 sock that needs binding off
1 Christmas ornament in progress
1 Cross Stitch of Doom
1 Cross Stitch, Slightly Less Doomy
1 Crewelwork Embroidery kit
I don’t like to have a lot of WIPs. Ideally, I’d have one of each craft on the go, and in a world where I was out and about more*, I’d have one knitting project good for being out and about and potentially a bigger/complex one at home.
*Less so these days, because of the pandemic limiting a lot of movement and let alone actual holiday travels, but also because I work at home so no commute. And IF I’m out and about now, I’m with the Enting and I won’t have time to knit XD
