Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

As usual, a bit of cross stitch plus some rows knitted. Steady progress.

And, as promised, here is my post about my Dare to Dabble afternoon Collages

I've picked up one of my older projects to work on while watching Strictly on Saturdays and Sunday. In fact I don't think I've touched it since I was watching the show last year. It's the sweater in white yarn with black and grey blobs in it, the one where I have no idea what pattern I was using when I started it so I'm making it up as I go along. It's only stocking stitch because with all the blobs it doesn't need a fancy stitch.

Anyway, I decided I wanted a V-neck, so this evening I knitted 10 rows on the front and divided for the neck. I've done all the neck shaping on one side, just need to do maybe 10 rows straight before casting off the shoulder. Then I have to do the other side of the neck to match, and after that I can start a sleeve, which again I'll have to figure out as I go. Just have to hope it all works.

Sounds like an adventurous project, making it up as you go along. But if anyone, you'll certainly be able to do it!

Some more angels

I decided to give the other "feathers" a try and see whether they could work as angel wings, despite being a size too large. Guess what? They did. Look:



I thought the green background would bring out the colours better; I was wrong. Anyway, I have one set of "feathers" left, but those are really way too large for these angels. Perhaps I'll make a bigger one, from longer lolly sticks, just for the fun of it.

You never know what will work until you try. Maybe you could say the big angel, if you do make it, is the archangel, the one in charge of all the others!

That sounds impressive - I suppose at least you can judge the length by holding it against yourself.

I finished the dress, and it fits! I still have to put a button on it, but otherwise we are good to go.

I haven't been doing any crafting lately but I hope that will change shortly. I found this book at the library yesterday.

Thank you! I'm keeping it simple, no armhole shaping, so it's not too difficult to figure stuff out. As long as it turns out wearable I'll be happy.
