Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Summer colds are somehow more insulting. Hope it doesn't last!

Trying to stay busy today to avoid thinking about how hot it is x.x

So did a painting with acrylics and I finally finished the butterfly cross stitch.

Work is slow so I'm playing with the water color pencils some, learning them. Looking forward to have something nice to share.

I am making progress - I am halfway through my bandstand cross stitch. I've also done some more rows on the current square for my throw, although it's been a bit of a struggle. I'm working from a chart, which is fine, but many of the rows are similar but not identical, so it's easy to slip a row and several times I've got to the middle of the square - to find I've gone wrong and had to undo to practically the beginning again - it's a moss stitch border so that bit's fine.

18 out of my 30 little paper owls now have their wings attached. This is the more crafty part of the project, as I have to synchronize the colours between owl body, belly and wings. But I'm getting there. And I've already used up a lot of my leftover paper scraps, so it's a really economic project, as I've mentioned before.

Ooo interesting. And thrifty!

I listen to music while knitting. For my blanket project, I've been listening to the Final Fantasy XIV soundtracks in reverse order. They are long! At least four hours each. I can't do it in one sitting, so I knit for a few songs at a time, as much as I can stand before I need a break.

I measured the blanket after I finished the Stormblood expansion's OST. The blanket was at 10". Today I finished the Heavensward OST, so I measured again. 13".

...it feels like it's coming along slow, but to be honest that's probably right. It takes me about 15-20 minutes to do a row, and I'm getting about six rows in an inch, so 18 rows * 15 minutes = 270 minutes total, or 4.5 hours, which is about the length of Heavensward.

I worked on it for maybe another hour after that. I still feel like I'm procrastinating too much from it, but I had problems today with feeling sleepy when I sat down to knit, so didn't have much stamina for long sessions. Still, progress is progress!

Thats a long crafting time, doesn't sound like procrastinating at all. :)

I'm on hiatus from actual crafting. The possibility of moving has decluttering and other tasks on top.

Today I did the pantry, which finished the kitchen. Threw away some spices, I don't even know how old some was.
