Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

18 sleeve rows, now I just have the shaping at the top of the sleeve to do, which should be 8 rows. Almost done with sleeve 1, yay!

I've done a few more rows of my knitted square. I don't have the right sized needles, so am using slightly larger, but since it's for a throw it just means the final throw will be bigger. And the size will also be determined by how many squares I want to knit.

And I've cross stitched some of the grass round the bandstand.

Wow, you've been busy today! I really need to re-learn knitting. A throw like that must be great fun to make.

That's the great thing about making throws and blankets; you can just work with what you've got and they'll still work out fine.

I've realized that my little felt chef would never stay fixed on the cooking book, so I redesigned the front cover. A coloured paper version of the little chef will be glued onto the cover, while the felt one will get a little pocket inside, from which it can peek out at his heart's delight.

Been working some OT lately so I haven't had much time for anything (although because work has been slow I'm writing fanfic again! First time in over 3 years!), but today with the holiday weekend I finally got time to play around with some water color pencils and oil pastels -- trying a different medium. I definitely love the pencils; I'm gonna have to save up for the bigger packs.

I haven't used watercolour pencils since I was a kid. I remember them being fun though.

More gardening, although a migraine knocked me in the afternoon and I spent the rest of the day a blob.

Hoping I can finally get the tomatoes planted today. And get back to my needlework!

I've been super busy. I patterned a historic Polish overjacket for a friend and did the mock up which didn't go like the pattern said. late night needed to get that pinned and fitted and extra back seam flounces added. I'm ready to cut the fabric now.

I had a lot of issues with linings and in the end cut up a sideless surcote lining (that's a sideless surcote in the icon picture, sort of an apron overdress) which I had almost finished sewing into a surcote for myself because it was the same fabric and I needed more, and yesterday I managed to sew an entirely new lining out of a different silk.

You really have been busy! Such a wrench having to unpick all that work, but the blue and silver look wonderful together, and I'm sure the red and cream will too.
