Hello, lovely crafters! Welcome to our daily check-in post, where you can tell everybody all about your most recent progress (or lack thereof). Feel free to also chat with other members and generally enjoy yourself!

Check-in is not compulsory, you decide if and when to take part in these posts.

And for an optional question, what about:
What time of the day do you usually work on your crafty projects?

If you have questions or suggestions about the community, requests for tags, or want to host the daily check-in posts, head over to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment there.

Hello y'all! I mostly draw, but sometimes I do cross stitch and am trying to get myself to actually learn how to operate my sewing machine properly. (I have made one (1) mask since the pandemic started, despite my resolution to Support The War Effort or whatever by making masks for people. Such is life with executive function problems, alas.) Currently I have two cross stitch projects in process - one is basically a shitpost and the other will eventually be a pillow (see also: I need to learn how to use my sewing machine), both for my partner [personal profile] rellephant. What can I say, they're cute and I can't resist making them cute things.

Once I tried to cross stitch a QR code for my wifi password but it was very very boring and then I accidentally stitched a black square that should have been white and I ragequit the project. My love for crafting is fickle and greatly dependent on how willing I am to focus on very tiny things for extended periods of time.

Anyway, hello! Happy to be here! *waves*

Welcome!

I also enjoy cross stitch, but I can't draw or sew to save my life *grins*

Hope you'll enjoy hanging out here!

Great question! At present I'm very much an evening crafter. I stick in a DVD (re-watching Due South at present) and get knitting ;)

Obviously that means I haven't done any knitting yet today so I'll have to come back in a couple of hours to check-in.

I am just...barely getting back into crafting on the regular so I don't have a set time of day yet. Maybe in the evenings after Boo goes to bed. During D&D on Sundays is a safe bet because during battles I can craft while other people are rolling their attacks, and not a lot of note-taking is required.

I managed two rows on a the second tatted dragon wing, but I might have already muffed it up already and might need to scrap it and start again. It's supposed to be a mirror of the first wing, and I don't think I've accomplished that, but we shall see...

Hello, and good luck with the sewing machine. I can't sew worth anything.

I do somethings craft in the evenings after work, but my favourite time is early in the mornings on my days off - I get up, grab a shower, and settle back on the sofa with a cup of coffee that will inevitably go cold and a crumpled paper bag full of doll parts in my lap.

I might put on a podcast or an audiobook, or I might play one of those YouTube spooky soundscapes videos. I don't usually listen to music while I craft as I'm a subconscious bopper and I've been known to jiggle a project off my lap when I'm really enjoying a song!

I love the idea of cross-stitched shitposts!

Ooh, now I want to rewatch Due South!

Same, I haven't thought of that show in years.

Probably easier to fly with symmetrical wings (thinking).

Watch out for a bunch of kids in a van with a Great Dane.

I watch a lot of waterfall and ocean but should look for spooky.

Some kids bring a Great Dane to my door, that ridiculous giant lad isn't going to have a chance to meet any ghosts because he'll be too busy getting fussed over and told how ridiculously giant he is!

Checking in to report watching 2 epiodes of Due South.

Also knitted the rib and 20 rows of a sleeve.

It's fun. I have three episodes left of season one...

I'm retired so I've been knitting in the afternoons while I watch Youtube videos or old episodes of TV shows I enjoy on Amazon Prime.

Tiredness does tend to make for more mistakes. I'm more of a night owl though, my brain doesn't come online until nearly noon ;)

I write in the afternoon, then craft when I have TV or DVDs to watch.

Often I craft in later afternoon or early evening. Not sure if I'll get any done today, but I did organize my stuff for starting MIL's headband.

The technology is dated but the characters are still great fun!

Sometimes you just have to fit in crafting whenever.

Oh... I hope you don't have to undo the wing, it's so frustrating. Still, reversing a pattern can be tricky. I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Nothing more relaxing than a bit of crafting.

I dance in my seat too, which does odd things to my typing as it's often when I'm replying to emails and comments.

It's an excellent and productive way to spend an afternoon. How is the knitting coming along?

Organising what you need for a project is a important part of crafting. Now when you decide to make a start you won't have to go searching for anything!
