Hello, lovely crafters! Welcome to our daily check-in post, where you can tell everybody all about your most recent progress (or lack thereof). Feel free to also chat with other members and generally enjoy yourself!

Check-in is not compulsory, you decide if and when to take part in these posts.

And for an optional question, what about:
What time of the day do you usually work on your crafty projects?

If you have questions or suggestions about the community, requests for tags, or want to host the daily check-in posts, head over to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment there.

Hello y'all! I mostly draw, but sometimes I do cross stitch and am trying to get myself to actually learn how to operate my sewing machine properly. (I have made one (1) mask since the pandemic started, despite my resolution to Support The War Effort or whatever by making masks for people. Such is life with executive function problems, alas.) Currently I have two cross stitch projects in process - one is basically a shitpost and the other will eventually be a pillow (see also: I need to learn how to use my sewing machine), both for my partner [personal profile] rellephant. What can I say, they're cute and I can't resist making them cute things.

Once I tried to cross stitch a QR code for my wifi password but it was very very boring and then I accidentally stitched a black square that should have been white and I ragequit the project. My love for crafting is fickle and greatly dependent on how willing I am to focus on very tiny things for extended periods of time.

Anyway, hello! Happy to be here! *waves*

YOU WOULD THINK. Unfortunately I tried to make it too big and got lost in the monotony. Also I have now moved and have a different password on a different network anyway, so perhaps it's just as well.

Welcome!

I also enjoy cross stitch, but I can't draw or sew to save my life *grins*

Hope you'll enjoy hanging out here!

I do pretty with the drawing, but the sewing... well, let's just say my grandmotherly ancestors are either rolling over in their graves or laughing, or possibly both. Either is justified.

My mum was great at sewing but clearly the talent was not passed down. As for drawing, stick figure are about my limit.

Hello, and good luck with the sewing machine. I can't sew worth anything.

Hello, and thank you. I will take your well wishes with me into the abyss that is YouTube sewing tutorials.

I love the idea of cross-stitched shitposts!

OH BOY do I have good news for you: cross-stitched shitposts are EVERYWHERE. Start here: https://shitpostsampler.tumblr.com/

I am sorry in advance for the rabbit hole down which you are about to plummet.

YES I have done good in the world. Enjoy! It is deeply satisfying to have "please don't do cocaine in the bathroom" posted in, well, my bathroom, and "it's decorative gourd season, motherfuckers" on my mantle. I wish you the same joy.

Oh I love the sheer madness of trying to cross stitch a QR code. You're like my evil genius hero! Ha ha.

And like all evil geniuses, I was undermined by my own hubris. Alas!
