Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
This Week's Question: If you're making any, what are your crafting resolutions for 2025?
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

This year I'll finish the scarf for my friend and hopefully do my new jumper and I'm not planning any other project in advance; they'll happen anyway.

As long as you know what you'd like to achieve, you can just knit when you feel like it! Good luck with both projects.

The collage is very fitting, and the tart looks scrumptious!

BTW, I'm considering to relearn knitting by making cardigans for the dolls. With such small pieces it is less frustrating when I have to undo them. *g*

That sounds like an excellent idea!

I'm trying to get back into knitting, which was my gateway craft hobby but which I abandoned years ago for being too complicated. I want to knit socks, so I'm re-teaching myself the basics of circular knitting with a pair of hand warmers. I'm still early on in my first one, but I'm getting back into the swing of it - no longer cursing myself with every stitch :)

Good luck with the hand warmers, and your future socks - there are several sock knitters dropping in here from time to time.
Knitting can be difficult to start with, but the more you knit, the easier it becomes. I'm sure you'll soon be back in the swing and wondering why you ever stopped.

I measured the dog blanket against the dog, and added a couple of rows. I think it will need quite a bit more, as the dog is not small (labrador) but I'm going to keep going until the end of January and then call it done (or until the scrap yarn runs out, whichever happens first)

This is an awesome sentence. Well done!

Also started untangling yarn for the Central Park Hoodie, which I'm in the mood to work on. But the yarn is a mess because that's the one I was doing intarsia on, and wasn't managing my yarn well. Oops. I have plans to rig something up for the next attempt at it.

I love untangling yarn, it's so satisfying! Less fun when I'm in the middle of making something and can't continue though. Hope it untangles easily for you.
