Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
This Week's Question: What's on your holiday wish list this year?
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Also started a red pair for me, just because I wanted something easy I could do while reading fanfic. Managed 40 rows.

amigurumi time for me! deadline is Jan. 14 which is a bit tight, but I should be able to make it if I don't stress my wrists too much
was able to find all the colors I need in my stash, thankfully, so I can dive right in!

I did start on a little knit vest for me just before packing, though, and I'm hoping to try out dyeing it once it's all finished up, since I've never dyed anything before, and I think it would be fun ^u^
I did get a few more rows on the tapestry before putting it away, and have maybe started drafting a pattern for a second one as well... I simply cannot stop myself

Good luck with the move! What a time to be moving. My neighbours sold their house months ago, but the house they're supposed to be buying, the owner hasn't found anywhere to live yet, so who knows how long it will drag on. Hope you're having better luck.

I think drumrolls are in order
Erm, yes. Sorry for the shooting. But it's such a relief that I feel like a punctured balloon, I really do. I'll try to take a few new photos tomorrow, or perhaps a video (I've never made a video, so don't put your hopes too high), but until then, the individual pages can be found here. They've been done quiet some time ago, all I had to do was to bind the book, which is always the hardest part. But it's done, done, DONE now, and I couldn't be happier, even though my fingertips hurt like whoa.
Re: I think drumrolls are in order
You really do deserve a round of applause. Binding it must have been a struggle.

Husband brought home germs and I'm too shaky for small projects. I'm not getting Holiday cards done until the new year at this point.

Good luck with the baby basket.

Thoughts
My craft plans include assembling a hippie strand, but that will likely have to wait for January as the ordered pieces haven't arrived yet. I have a rainbow cord; I'm waiting on a package of hippie-themed charms and another of start and moon shaped crystals. :D This will wind up similar to the string of bells that I made previously.
Re: Thoughts
Your hippie strand sounds like it will be fun.

Left is the first one I made. I *love* it. I think the angle from leg to foot is perfect. Middle is the second one and it's really big in the foot and I really don't like it, but am wondering if it's good enough to gift. Right is the third one, it's not as cute as the first one but I think it is okay enough. I do want to duplicate stitch the area right by the heel flap, there's loose stitches so it's pretty much a hole.
It'd save me some time and grief not to have to rip back and redo the middle stocking, or knit a replacement. So what say you: good enough to gift?
My goal was to get a stocking done today, and I did, so yay! I would have liked to get more crafting done, but I've been going pretty hard lately and needed a nap today. Also, mom does insist on dragging me to the gym twice a week, so that cut into my time as well.
But tomorrow I should be able to pretty much craft all day. I did more cleaning today, and there's a bit more cleaning to do to prepare the space for my new laundry sorter, but the sorter isn't coming until Friday and I probably won't be able to assemble it until Saturday, so yeah, I have some time yet to finish the cleaning.
