Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This Week's Question: What's on your holiday wish list this year?

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Spirit City (productivity app/game thing that I love a lot and highly recommend) has announced a fibercraft contest +_+

amigurumi time for me! deadline is Jan. 14 which is a bit tight, but I should be able to make it if I don't stress my wrists too much

was able to find all the colors I need in my stash, thankfully, so I can dive right in!

no crafts for me for a while, I'm just about to move! currently packing and stressing about it quite a lot O_O""

I did start on a little knit vest for me just before packing, though, and I'm hoping to try out dyeing it once it's all finished up, since I've never dyed anything before, and I think it would be fun ^u^

I did get a few more rows on the tapestry before putting it away, and have maybe started drafting a pattern for a second one as well... I simply cannot stop myself

You can read and knit at the same time? Awesome!

... since finally, after two years, I've FINISHED THE CHRISTMAS-THEMED QUIET BOOK!

Erm, yes. Sorry for the shooting. But it's such a relief that I feel like a punctured balloon, I really do. I'll try to take a few new photos tomorrow, or perhaps a video (I've never made a video, so don't put your hopes too high), but until then, the individual pages can be found here. They've been done quiet some time ago, all I had to do was to bind the book, which is always the hardest part. But it's done, done, DONE now, and I couldn't be happier, even though my fingertips hurt like whoa.

Oh dear, moving is really stressful! I admire you for finding the time to do a little something in-between.

Good luck!

hehe yep another porcelain pattern! I'm torn between a few ideas right now, I've started on an imari-style design but I'd also love to do one inspired by the famous Catherine II Cameo Service... or a much more contemporary Haviland pattern that has sentimental value. so many things to choose from!!

thank u! it's been stressful, but thankfully I think we're getting things figured out. just have one pretty stressful day of moving ahead of us really soon... but I'll cross that bridge when I get there lol

ty! truthfully I need little things like that to distract me from the stress otherwise I think I'd go crazy, lol - doing some simple knit stitches over and over keeps me productive elsewhere

hooray!! congrats! bookbinding looks super cool, but I can't imagine how much effort it takes, lol. the pages look great as well!

yeah! gonna make a Hedgelog: https://gyazo.com/e3f90dec3a63a5d3b92c6d05cd5639f0

while I've been doing a lot of cross stitch recently, crochet is my main craft XD I'm quite good at it if I do say so myself and I really enjoy making amigurumi from freeform from just some reference pics

here's some I've done before and am still very proud of:

Today I sorted my acrylic yarn and picked out some to make a big basket for my cousin's baby.

Husband brought home germs and I'm too shaky for small projects. I'm not getting Holiday cards done until the new year at this point.

thanks! the dragon is also Levasu, a character from a webcomic a friend of mine wrote about 10 years ago, here's the reference image I was working off of for that one: https://www.dennydraws.com/comics/fanfyria1/page-104/

he's my favorite character from the comic, I couldn't resist making him into plushies lol
