Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
This Week's Question: What's the most complicated project you've ever tackled?
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I have also found a set of designs that I think will work on the pale lemon 18 hpi aida — they're 6 cute woodland animals: badger, fox, squirrel, rabbit, hedgehog, and owl. I also found a set of dragons which are cute and brightly coloured but a bit on the small side, so I'll see if they'll work on 18 hpi or not. Still got lots of magazines to look through though. I might find more!

The pale lemon fabric sounds lovely. I adore your idea of the woodland animals and also the dragons, too.

Okay, so good news that I'm not sure I related here yet: nephew's graduation party is not until end of June, so I have time to finish his blanket. Yay! I'm still working on niece's blanket, though, and there's still a lot left. Her party is June 1st.
I lost a few days without putting much work in, because life threw a curve ball at me and it's been ridiculously busy at our house. It's for a good reason, but still: busy.
I managed to put in 3 rows yesterday, and have done 2 today so far, with the plan to do another 2. My spreadsheet is saying I need 3.66 rows a day to finish on time. With everything going on, I'm really not sure I'll be able to finish by her party... but I am going to try my damnedest to do so!

Today though, I worked on inking and coloring my previously drawn pumpkin themed moods for the mood theme I've been doing for moodthemeinayear. Mine are for bullet journaling, not digital, so lots of tiny drawing.
To answer the question, it's not technically the most complicated project I've done, but years ago, when I was still doing atc exchanges, I did a set called "Quixote quatrefoils." At that time, we had been doing an alphabet theme for almost 2 years and had gotten to Q. For the exchange, you had to submit 10 identical ATCs, which are only 2-1/2 inches x 3-1/2 inches. I decided for these, I would go for something semi 3D, requiring around 8 layers of very intricately cut tiny pieces of paper for each one. Plus, you know, embellishments.
Because of all of the tiny, fussy work involved, the name of this project has become a sort of warning/code word a friend throws at me when I have made something too complicated/am planning something unreasonably complicated.

Yay for tiny mood pumpkins!
Yikes, that really does sound complicated!

Your pumpkin moods for bullet journal sound adorable, though.
Your Quixote quatrefoils sure sound very intricate and lots of work with 10 of those to complete, too. I love that the word has become code your friends use. I bet that's rather effective. :D

Most formidable project. Hm, mine isn't that impressive by global standards but it is impressive for me with my short persistence in crafting: When I was a teenager, I knitted my own jumper without a pattern, just going by another jumper that fit. This was only possible with the help of my mother, who routinely knit such jumpers. It came out well and I loved wearing it! It was grey with a little marbling in the colours and a basic pattern.
I don't think I could replicate it these days, though, as a) my mother is no longer alive and thus can't help me and b) this was when tight jumpers were in and I was a rather small size back then. Nowadays I prefer oversize jumpers and am a rather large size, making such a project too large for me to tackle. But the memories are fond. XD
I think I need to find more people in person to craft with. It was such fun to knit or knot friendship bracelets with my mother! One of my local friends has recently started crocheting and has said she would like us to crochet (or do similar stuff) together so that is promising. :-)
