Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

A lot of time in the garden, but still a bit of stitching. I've started the tulip leaves, done the first shade of green and about half the second shade.


I have also found a set of designs that I think will work on the pale lemon 18 hpi aida — they're 6 cute woodland animals: badger, fox, squirrel, rabbit, hedgehog, and owl. I also found a set of dragons which are cute and brightly coloured but a bit on the small side, so I'll see if they'll work on 18 hpi or not. Still got lots of magazines to look through though. I might find more!

Okay, so good news that I'm not sure I related here yet: nephew's graduation party is not until end of June, so I have time to finish his blanket. Yay! I'm still working on niece's blanket, though, and there's still a lot left. Her party is June 1st.

I lost a few days without putting much work in, because life threw a curve ball at me and it's been ridiculously busy at our house. It's for a good reason, but still: busy.

I managed to put in 3 rows yesterday, and have done 2 today so far, with the plan to do another 2. My spreadsheet is saying I need 3.66 rows a day to finish on time. With everything going on, I'm really not sure I'll be able to finish by her party... but I am going to try my damnedest to do so!

I've finished another four tiny teddy bears. Originally wanted to do 8 altogether, but I had chores and then I just didn't have the energy. It's a good thing they won't be needed until early December. *g*

They'll be done well in advance without you needing to rush at the last minute =)

They're sweet. I've actually stitched the owl before, but I don't mind doing him again. I made him into a birthday card for my mum about 15 years ago.

You'll get them done easily =)

That is the easy part. I just have to glue pretty paper all over those medium-sized (5cm by 7cm) matchboxes. A small strip of lining material on the bottom and the teddies will have it really comfortable.

Until they get sold, at least. After that they'll have to serve as key rings, and that's hard work. *nods sagely*

Some of them might still get put to bed after a hard day caring for the keys!

There are always chores. The trick is to work around them. Sometimes I even succeed.

They are! The only concern is the size of the dragons. I do want to stitch them, but they might be better on 14 hpi.

I keep not having time for crafting. I think if I can get a couple projects caught up outside I can swing back to it.
