Hello, lovely crafters! Welcome to our daily check-in post, where you can tell everybody all about your most recent progress (or lack thereof). Feel free to also chat with other members and generally enjoy yourself!

Check-in is not compulsory, you decide if and when to take part in these posts.

I usually craft in the morning, right after I had readied Mum for the day. That doesn't leave me much time - and hour and a half at best - but both sewing and paper crafts are best done by natural light, not only for the better visibility but also for the true colours.

Today, I worked some more on the new front page for the Christmas quiet book (that won't be done for *this* Christmas, mind you): I did most of the Velcro work, sewn down the floor line and finished the double-layered Christmas tree. Not much, I know, but since I postponed the deadline for *next* Christmas, I can take my time and actually enjoy the work.

I also went to one of the big craft shops today, but it was quite the disappointment: they had more ready-made gifts than actual stuff for crafting, so I left empty-handed.

So sorry your craft shopping was disappointing, but yay for Quiet Book progress!

You'd think they would sell the Christmas-related stuff for a reduced price in the week before Christmas, but apparently that has gone out of practice.

Sadly that doesn't seem to happen these days, you have to wait until after Christmas for bargains, if anything is left.

But yeah, the book is coming along. Especially as I don't have to hurry; it's definitely more fun that way.
