Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today, I had a bit of squirrel brain, so while I cleaned off the craft table, no crafting got done. In fact, the only things on my todo list I got done was putting the laundry away and babysitting the cat while the fireworks were going. She seems to be losing her hearing, so she slept through most of it, but she was less than happy for the parts of it she was awake for.

Yesterday, I did add a couple more rows to the shawl. I am beginning to wonder if I'm going to have enough yarn to finish. It's supposed to be a one skein project and the pattern itself came with said skein of yarn and it gauged correctly, but it just doesn't look like enough yarn to make it to the end. Trying to trust the process though.

Laundry and taking care of the cat are important things! And cleaning off the craft table is always a good thing to do.

Fingers crossed the shawl turns out!

Yes, the cat especially. Now the struggle becomes keeping the table clean XD Things just migrate to it.

Those are still important tasks! Your poor cat. I'm not fond of firework noise myself.

True. Thankfully, she's better than she used to be, but I feel bad about it every year. That's one of the bad parts about fireworks, you can opt out of setting them off or watching them, but not so much the noise.

Yes! Especially as it ended up being where my mother decided she was staging my surprise birthday lunch
