Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO ALL WHO CELEBRATE IT!
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

One page completed
So, folks, here I present Page One, where the three crows are cutting the wheat:
Admittedly, the crows look a bit bizarre, being finger puppets and all, but I like them. Today I added all the yellow parts, both for this page and for Page Two. I think the colours are not bad at all, even though I'd prefer the blue background to be several shades paler. But I have to use the felt that's available in the craft shop.

I also worked on the crocheted shawl for another Nerdopolis challenge - the theme is Boats and the pattern I picked makes a right triangle, like the main sail on a sail boat.
I plan more crafting today but right now I'm going to take a video game break.

I'm now working on the hem of the bralette. It needs to be about 2 in long and it's not quite an 1 in now. I should finish it soon. :)

I have cast on some Dishie yarn (Knit Picks). I was going to be making coasters, but I wound up making a blanket instead (I really like how the yarn feels). I have 3 skeins left, and then this blanket will be done. I started on Saturday. Blanket will be 7 skeins total.

Yesterday, I did add a couple more rows to the shawl. I am beginning to wonder if I'm going to have enough yarn to finish. It's supposed to be a one skein project and the pattern itself came with said skein of yarn and it gauged correctly, but it just doesn't look like enough yarn to make it to the end. Trying to trust the process though.

Fingers crossed the shawl turns out!
