Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I much fear that I have caught a SECOND cold while still exhausted from the first! Unfair! But that is what happens when one member of the household works at a grocery store and another an elementary school.

Oh no! You need something to boost your immune system *hugs*

Oh no! That is very unfair, if, unfortunately, somewhat unavoidable.

And speaking from experience, paintings almost always look better both at a distance and some emotional distance (meaning after you are completely done and having looked at in awhile), regardless if paint by number or otherwise. You just got to trust the process until then.

I also did some mental plotting for my altered book, so I have a better idea if what kind of prep to do to it Monday.
And sort of crafting, I used my new to me paper trimmer. The accordion file holder I keep my magazine clippings in needs to be organized and the best way to do that is to use file folders (which were ridiculously difficult to get locally). The problem once I got them was that they were about a 1/16 of an inch too big for the file holder. I could get them in, it was just not pretty. So I figured out how much I could trim off on each side and the clippings would still be protected, taking off as much as I could for optimal ease of sliding in and out of the slots, then trimmed all 48 I had on hand. For whatever reason, they did not all trim up the same, so I have some adjustments to make later, but for now it works.
I tried to have kind of a catch up day to help make up all the "blanket fort" days I've had this month, but I am still moving sorta slow and most things take longer than I think they're going to. I am doing my best to be okay with that.

Oooh, I love a good paper trimmer! There's something quite satisfying about cutting things to a usable size.
You'll catch up when you have more energy and you're feeling less stressed. Don't push yourself too hard, that only adds unnecessary stress. You're doing fine, even if you're behind where you'd like to be with some things.
