Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

I've lived in this house for my entire life, and I only just realised there are no streetlamps on my side of the street =/
I've crocheted a bunch of ears for the last batch of mini meece, and I've knitted a couple of bodies. Hoping to knit a few more while Strictly Come Dancing is on. It'll put me over the 50 I planned, but I'll probably make a few for next year at some point, when I know for sure that the brooch backs work.


Also trying to figure out in my head how i can make some spooky spiders for brooches, maybe use some of the small brooch backs...

Maybe you could knit or crochet the body and use black pipe cleaner for legs.

I was planning to finish the Christmas tree quiet book page - all I would have to do was sewing on some bells - but a friend came over, and having friends in the house has absolute priority. :)

Well of course! When friends visit, everything else gets pushed to one side. The page will get finished, just not today.

On the second coat of paint on the dice tray, I still wasn't able to get the very small corners. (It's bat-shaped, and the points on the wings are tricky.) I couldn't find anything smaller and suitable, so after making a little bit of headway on the second coat of paint, I filled in the remaining gaps with a black marker. It's looking good now! Once it's dry, I'll cut out and glue in the felt and it should be ready to go.

I also did some knitting during a session -1 for a new D&D campaign my husband's starting next year, and I intend to do some more knitting this evening while watching Strictly.

Yay for finding a solution to the tricky corners! I love bats, I want to make some from felt, but I don't have a bat pattern =(

I think a marker is as good for tiny gaps - no-one will notice.

Craft fair was a bust. 😥 I did get my table fee back, and made about $20 more, but it was a VERY disappointing turnout. ALL the vendors were complaining that it just wasn't as busy as in past years, and no one was really buying anything. I may have priced my stuff too high, also. Sigh. I don't know if I will try another one, I put a lot into this.

That's a shame, because you did put a lot of work into it and didn't get that much back.

So sorry it wasn't as good as you'd hoped, that must have been a big disappointment. Still, you did make a profit in a time when a lot of people are watching their pennies, and it wasn't just your stall, so you know you're on the right track, the buyers just weren't there this time.

But... YOU DID IT! You booked your stall, you made things, you got all the preparations done, and you tried your best. You should give yourself a pat on the back for all of that. You did good. Look at what you achieved rather than the poor turnout.

Aw that's sad. I honestly don't know how people make any money at all by the time they pay table fees and have stallholder insurance. Still, you tried. It's a lot of work for little results.

Yesterday brother and I went out for covid booster + flu shot. I'm tired but that's probably just from going out of the house.

I poked around with my African violets, potting up some young starts and rearranging a bit. I've neglected some of those and the rearranging might help. A fun thing is that Little Crystal, which is usually white with occasional purple streaks, has decided to go purple.

Perhaps Little Crystal is showing its approval of current growing conditions.

yesterday I unhinged two chests and put the new forged fittings on. I also painted a little red chest ready for some dots. I've been looking at washing stands, and today I'm making one of those. (hopefully)
