Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I often agree with Craig, actually - I was a professional dancer for years and I appreciate how often he has the same technical notes as me. I very much enjoyed tonight's show, though! I ended up not doing any more knitting and baked cookies instead.

I think I'm a little envious! I was nowhere near that standard, but I did take lessons for years and passed my exams. I loved dancing but not with the passion it would have taken to become a professional, I was never going to be that good, not enough focus and dedication. I do miss dancing, probably the ballroom more than the Latin. Watching Strictly always makes me want to get up and dance around the house, but then my hips complain, and carpets aren't ideal, my feet catch *grins*

Ooh that's wonderful! Honestly I wish I hadn't been pushed into competition and pro dancing; it sucked all the joy out of it for me and that's why I quit. I miss it dearly now, though. Waltzing in my kitchen doesn't quite scratch the itch XD

I think you really have to WANT to be a pro dancer to do it and take joy in it. It sucks to be pushed when maybe you're not that enthusiastic. I love the enthusiasm on Strictly from both the pros and the celebs. They just have such a great time. I'd love to dance with Johannes, or Gratz, or Anton for that matter. But I'm 60 with hip and knee issues, so I think my dancing days are long over.

Definitely; I just wanted to dance for fun, and the seriousness of the pro world is sincerely not my vibe. I'd absolutely love to dance with any of the pros, they seem so joyous and fun! Karen and Giovanni would be my first picks, though 😍

That's so sad, I wish you could have enjoyed the fun side more. I remember waiting out back in the community hall to be called for my turn to dance for my exam, then walking the length of the room to curtsey to the examiners. I've still got all my badges, exam medals, and certificates.

I adore Karen, I think she's my favourite of the female pros, and who doesn't love Giovanni? Oh, and I love both new male pros. Haven't seen enough of the new female pros to get a feel for them, but Carlos and Vito are such fun.

I genuinely hardly remember my exams, but I kept all the medals in a little shadow box that I kept rediscovering every time we moved. I think it was in my mother's garage and finally got destroyed in a flood.

I'm really enjoying Carlos and Vito!! Carlos's choreography in particular has me yelling. His work is so creative.

They are both incredibly talented, and new blood brings fresh innovation. Carlos is quite cheeky too. I'm not hugely knowledgeable, too long since I was dancing, but I do enjoy his choreography.

Are you ready for the results show? My TV is already on *grins*

Whooo! I'm enjoying it so far, although I think the wrong people are going through, and the wrong people are ending up in the dance-off... *meep*

Absolutely gutted that Fleur was in the dance-off, but thrilled to see that beautiful dance again. And she improved her lines! That made me happy :D

She's come so far in such a short time; she absolutely didn't belong in the dance-off. I'm sad to see Richie go though, I was looking forward to his next ballroom dance. His quickstep was so amazing.
