Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

How much do you have to do before the tree people can come in? That constant picking up, ugh.
Tuesday, July 26th, 2022 09:35 pm (UTC)
ah, I thought you needed to meet a certain goal before they would come.

Oh! Friday, great. Even though picking up the leaves isn't that bad, it's one less thing. Certainly sounds like the kind of rose that won't care you cut it back!

I've decided to cut off buds from the hybrid tea roses for the rest of the year. And maybe suppress next year's as well. I want especially the Peace rose to make more canes, and to see if the scrawniest little one will bounce back. So no spending energy on blooms.

Six rows on the scarf; a light day, but my brain is fried and I just needed something to do with my hands for a bit.

Husband learned a lot and the first window has been fixed up and reglazed. I ended up being mostly support and clean up. Hopefully future ones go quicker (this was 3 days). I am mostly over covid but it's making even my regular chores a bit harder so adding extra stuff is difficult.

I've been working on the afghan. I am on the final skein! Today I worked on it a lot in between laundry loads.

How many more....hahahahahahahahahahahaha! Well, two in just that room. 6 more on the rest of the floor. So, if he can do one per days off, 8 weeks. We did find a good place to get glass as well.

He did a good job, the window moves so easily now.

Covid helped with the blanket going fast, since I can't do my extra tasks I'm taking far more time to sit.

Did a bit of crafting in front of the telly. The Holy Family felts are nearly done: Joseph has his beard (even though he looks like Rumcájsz, the Robber, from a Czech kiddie show), Mary is firmly stitched on and the Baby Jesus has a bit of hair on top of his head. Tomorrow I'll stitch on the bronze stars and the hangings and sew the front and back panels together - at least some of them. There's no hurry, after all.

Well, I'm quite sure he *didn't* look like Rumcájsz. ;))

Yes, no hurry, you are definitely ahead for a holiday piece!
