Hello to all members, Happy New Year and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

This year I'd like to make beanie mashups for all the <A HREF="https://the-magnus-archives.fandom.com/wiki/The_Entities>Fear Entities</A> from the Magnus Archives. I have some ideas already, plus I would like to experiment with changing up the eyes on my creations this year and the Ceaseless Watcher leaves me a lot of scope to fuck around and find out...

At the moment I have a big plastic "storage box" (call it what it is, it's a toy box!) and most of them go in there apart from a) a couple of favourites that stay out constantly and b) a few that I pull out at a time and put around the flat

Yep! I need to take a group photo of all the ones from last year together - I'd have done it this morning but Nublet and Month were in the bedroom and my partner was still asleep.

Shame the mashups don't come when called ;) Although... might be a it disturbing if they did! You'll get the photo eventually.

I guess it would depend on whether they worshipped me as their creator, in which case prepare for a giant Bender-esque good statue that screams "remember me" being erected in the Manx hills, or whether they turn on me like Sids toys did in the first Toy Story.for making them "monstrous"...

Cool that you're in the Isle of Man. My neighbours used to holiday there every year when their daughter was young, I've seen pictures and it's lovely.

It's very beautiful, which is a good thing because after MONTHS of being in the clear we just went back into Lockdown 2: Coronavirus Boogaloo, so it's open spaces only for the next three weeks. Least Ill have pretty scenery while all the indoor stuff is closed.

Oh, that's too bad! IOM was doing so well! I thought you'd be like New Zealand, able to escape the worst.

The mainland is deep in lockdown territory again. I was in the highest tiers back when it was tiers, but not the worst areas. Not good, but not so bad. Back in the summer my area had one of the lowest infection rates in the country, like 2 or 3 new cases a week. Now we're in the hundreds. Too many people are still ignoring the rules.

Yikes! You don't set yourself easy tasks, do you? I can't imagine how you're going to do some of those!

Yeah, I have some notions for the Hunt, Slaughter, Extinction, but the End and the Buried are gonna require a bit more thought. Still, I have a year!
