Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've decorated some finished cookies and made preparations for the next baking phase. That about ate up all my free time. *sigh*

And now gmail seems to be down, which is annoying as it is the email address I use for almost everything. Joy, joy, joy!

It is back at the moment, but I'm not used to it being down - usually it's very reliable. Having it down, even temporarily, makes me nervous.

I know that feeling. I panic when my email goes down. It keeps having problems, been doing that for a few days now, but refreshing the page has so far worked.

Well done on further cookie progress and sympathies for the email issues. I have more than enough of those at work to understand where you are with that - fortunately haven't had many on a personal issue recently (although maybe I should keep quiet so that I don't tempt fate).

Another 5 meeces have their ears and tales, bringing the total up to 13. There are 12 more of the single-colour meeces to go, then I'll do their eyes and noses before I start knitting two-colour banded meeces. The plan is to make 25, but I might end up with more, maybe make 10 at a time.

Reproduction in meeces happens is dependent on yarn and knitting needles, so it's going to cointinue to happen for a while longer ;)

Argh, typo! It was bound to happen at some point.

Maybe someday I'll write the tale of the knitted meeces, you never know ;)

Thanks. I can't believe it's only been 2.5 weeks since Halloween and the first 25 meeces are already close to being finished.

I'm knitting two sweater sleeves at the same time so it feels like I'm making slow progress, but really it's going quite well. I'm a tiny bit concerned that I might run out of wool tho. Hopefully this is an illusion caused by the two-at-a-time thing.

That's good going though - and you'll be pleased when you finish both sleeves together.

Yes! I’m looking forward to the satisfaction of ‘so much done’ when I get there but in the meantime…

I sympathise, I was having that problem making my last sweater. It's very worrying when it looks like you might not have enough wool to complete a project. I hope you'll find there's plenty. It can be really hard to judge.

There *should* be plenty, I should have spare wool left at the end going by yardage, but I always get the fear when I’ve had to do yarn substitution! :s

I get the fear every time I start a new project for myself knowing I only have five 100g balls of the colour and dye lot. I start worrying Will there be enough... The fear never really goes away until the sweater is finished.

At the *same* time? How many hands do you have? *is baffled*

No extra hands, just a very long needle! (I’m knitting flat on a circular needle, but my mum just used to do it on long straight needles.)

I was dabbling again today - fabric crafts this time, so using fabric crayons plus weaving. I'll put a post up in a day or two and link from here - I need to finish the weaving off, as I didn't quite have time to finish while I was there. It was fun anyway.

That sounds a very intriguing dabble, crayons and weaving... Not a combination I would have ever considered. I'll be interested to see the results. Hope you had fun with it!

I did. I'm busy today so may not get to post until the weekend, but it will be done.

I finished the border on the final colour band and sewed two of the bands together. I'll attach the other two tomorrow with luck and hopefully make a start on the final border to complete the whole thing (that might take a couple of nights, depending on how much time I get).
