Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

The earie meeces now number 8, another 4 have joined ranks with the first 4.

And now all 8 have tails as well! That might have been a bad move on my part, because has already tries to make a break for freedom... Apparently meeces get a bit skittish once they have tails.

I really should wear my glasses when I’m tired - I misread it as eerie meeces and wondered what they were getting up to- though I guess if they’re trying to escape, maybe they are eerie and earie!

Well, the earie bit is sort of a play on eerie, so it all works out! They're Eerie earie meeces!

Either that or the meeces will tangle their tails up together...

Meeces don't seem to tangle, at least not so far, which is good.

Heee! I bet I could knit some cheese without a pattern, I have yarn the right colours... Maybe I will if I need to tempt the meeces!

Indeed, I'm sure I could, and I might at some point, but right now I need to concentrate on the meeces. I'm not sure that feeding them would be a good idea ;)

I've baked the second batch of cookies - marked in red in my big baking masterpost. I'll take a picture once they are fully decorated.

And I've written down the baking plan for the third batch. The business is flowering!

The buttons arrived, and while they are very pretty I think they are too small, so I've had to order some more.

You’ll need a whole new project to use up excess buttons at this rate! Hopefully the next set will be perfect.

I'll keep them to one side for now. They would work okay but I felt 5 year old fingers would prefer something bigger.

Yes, that way mini Hobbit won't have to ask someone to button her up, she can do it herself.

Started soooo late tonight that I only managed to crochet the border of one rather than the two remaining bands and it’s well past midnight as I’m finishing that one. Hopefully I will have energy to do the final band tomorrow. Still I’m getting there steadily

I hope you slept well when you got to bed. I knew it was too late to start really, but I wanted to de-stress and wind down. All very well for getting to sleep - it's the waking up this morning that is the issue! *yawn*

I ended up having a surprisingly bad night, no idea why. Getting up is never easy, I'm permanently tired. Hope your night was better than mine.

I finished the linen gowne, but the race to complete a new project is ON! Next week it's my Grandbabe's birthday and I'm making her a mermaid rag doll because she's all about mermaids at the moment. So... not made a doll before, but have drafted a pattern, cut and sewed it, stuffed it, painted the eyes and tonight I got half way through making her hair. Still lots to go but I think it will be cute enough for a 2 year old. To be honest, it'll probably sit on a shelf and not get played with, but it matches her new Big Girl room decor, so it will be a nice decorator touch. photos on my phone, so not here yet.

Well done on the gowne, and what a wonderful surprise for your granddaughter! I'm sure she'll love her mermaid.

Mermaids are cute! I made some felt ones for the last charity fair that actually took place, and they were a big hit. Good luck with yours!
