Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I baked 6 different sorts of cookies today. 35 more sorts to go.

I just discovered your epic cookie baking master list. Amazing! Six kinds of cookies is impressive, let alone *checks notes* FORTY-ONE!

Actually, I am up to 43 now. Another few have crept in while I wasn't looking. But that's okay. Baking is the only Christmass-y thing Covid hasn't taken from me yet. Which is probably the reason for my obsession. That, and the knowledge how much the other families are looking forward to the baked goodies.

True. Plus, it keeps the flat warm, so we save some of the heating costs. ;))

I've spent some time knitting mini chains (as it paper chains, but knitted) which I shall give to mini Hobbit. And the buttons which I'd bought through Ebay and hadn't turned up have now been refunded, so I've had to order some others - hopefully these will arrive.

Sucks about the buttons. Hope the new ones arrive. Are they for Mini Hobbit's cardigan?

I found instructions for the chains and thought they might be fun. The buttons are for mini
Hobbit's cardigan. I'm still on the second sleeve but want the buttons to hand when I start the button band.

It's always wise to get buttons in advance. Then you know what size to make the buttonholes.

I've been sitting in on a conference in the mornings this weekend (AND I have a long weekend!) which has meant lots of listening time to knit! I've finished 1.5 of the sleeves on the baby sweater I'm (still) working on, and I'm starting to get frustrated with the coursework I'm supposed to be working on this afternoon, so I might sit down and finish the second sleeve.

Currently working on my second square of the day. If I get this finished today I need one more tomorrow. Then it’s just finishing the assembly and a border.
