Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I was thinking about my mice last night, 20 mouse bodies plus the lumpy one I'd already sewn up, so 21 altogether, and it struck me what a silly number that was. So I've knitted 4 more and made 4 more sets of ears. That will give me 25 single colour meeces, and then I can make another 25 striped meeces for a nice round 50. I've also sewn up and stuffed the 4 bodies I made today, leaving 20 more to sew up.

Then last night I had a look at the bouncy spider situation and discovered that I have the fabric cut for 42 spiders, although I only have about 8 felt bases cut so I'll have to cut more of those, and punch out eyes for the spiders. I use a paper punch for those. They use up a lot of my tiny scraps.

Sounds like you have a lot of work ahead of you assembling your Meeces and spiders! How’s the sweater coming on? Did I miss you finishing ?

I d0o, but it's mostly fun.

The sweater is on hold at present because making meeces is more fun than sewing up a sweater. I still have to knit the neckband too. I'll get there in the end, but I want to make meeces! *grins*

Having fun! Enjoying what you're doing sounds like a win to me! The sweater will wait while you're enjoying the meeces.

It will, especially since I already made 4 sweaters this year so I have plenty to keep me warm. I have more enthusiasm for the meeces.

No, they're fresh stock for next Halloween, although they'd look cute sitting in a Christmas tree...

A guy I once knew used to make "thematic" Christmas trees. One year his tree was full of teddy bears. I think the mice would work quite well, too. :)

No sewing today as I attempt to catch up on blogs and a bunch of other things. Not looking forward to work today because the company on my shift isn't the best and it's going to be stressful enough as it is. Oh well. I did upload some updates to my website on the Hawking, Hunting and Underpants pages, so there's that :)
