Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Finally was able to get my first Covid jab today, so while I was out getting the needle I did a bit of shopping, picked up some lose beads and some cheap necklaces and bracelets to be dismantled and used in making pendants, and I was also lucky enough to find some aida cross stitch fabric (not that I needed more), a piece each of cream, dark red, Christmas green, and black. I bought them because they're a higher count, either 16 or 18 hpi. I'm thinking 16 is most likely, but I haven't measured yet. They're not huge pieces, maybe 12 x 18 inches, and they're rather crumpled, but well worth 75p each. There were some other, smaller pieces but I left those for somebody else.

Also, congratulations on getting some more craft supplies. You can never have too much of them, and sometimes the oddest things work out marvellously.
It's good that you finally got your first jab. Took them long enough to give it to you!

It was a case of me not being able to get to the places that were doing the vaccinations, they were too far and in unfamiliar places, which I can't deal with. I get lost easily these days. Also, I had health issues earlier in the year, and every time I thought I might be able to look art getting booked in, something else happened to stop me. At least now, a local pharmacy is doing vaccinations. I know how to get there and where I can park, so I got booked in. They were very good. My next one isn't until January 3rd though. I just hope the weather won't be too bad then. I've also got to fit in my flu jab... *sigh*

I'll have to catch up on everyone's projects. Have been too busy to even lurk recently.

Poor you. I hope things are calming down enough for you to find time for yourself.

The more mice the merrier! Three more plain ones and then the next ones will be striped.
Plans change quite unexpectedly
Instead, I made a felt satchel bag for toddlers, based on this video - only that mine is a grossly simplified version. Or rather mines are - because we've got two 2-year-old girls in the family with only two months age difference or so between them, and they always want to have what the other one has. So I'm about to make two identical bags; hopefully, this way they won't be any fight over them. The first one is completed, the second one is half-done, so I consider this day a success. There will be a picture when both are done.

I have returned!
Also, I think having zero crafting time/brain space is beginning to make me lose my mind. I made myself a witch hat for Halloween, and then only had 6 trick or treaters!

Glad you're getting the house stuff sorted to a point where it might not be quite so insane.
Your witch hat is awesome! Shame you didn't get many Trick or Treaters. (I was a bit overrun).
Re: I have returned!
Met neighbor across the street though. He's new too, and came over to commiserate. "there's tons of kids on this street! Where are they! I bought a bunch of candy!" Ha! He was wearing a Batman cape.
Re: I have returned!
At least you got to meet your neighbour, and if he has a Batman cape he must be okay *grins*

I'd feel more guilty about the slow progress if I hadn't gotten a reprieve tonight: original plan was to finish by November 18th as the next expansion of my MMO was supposed to drop on the 19th, but tonight we found out it's been delayed two weeks. That gives me more time to work on the blanket. I still want it done before US Thanksgiving, and really it should be done at least two days before that so it can be washed (it's acrylic so can go in the washer/dryer).
Tomorrow I plan on getting up at a decently early time and putting some work in on it before lunch. That should help immensely.

Good luck with your weekend progress.

Good luck with your plans! I hope you manage to get a good few rows done.
I generally prefer acrylic yarns because they're so much easier to care for. Especially good for things like blankets, which need to be hardwearing and easy to wash.
