Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I'm supposed to be moving on to the sewing up, but instead I've knitted another 4 mouse bodies. So many yarn oddments to use up!

Spent some time browsing cross stitch patterns and have done a square and a ‘half’ for the blanket. I had my counting of squares completely wrong - I’ve now finished 19 squares. I think I probably need 42 - six across by seven length. I’m not quite sure what to do about my colour combinations and how to assemble, but for now I’m going to crochet some single colour squares and once I have 13 more of those I’ll come to a decision based on the colours I have left in the stash. Hopefully they’ll come together quicker

That should make a good sized blanket. I like the idea of plain squares mixed in with the two-coloured ones. Good luck!

Did you find anything interesting among the cross stitch patterns?

I was looking for patterns for Christmas cards. I have some cards with holes and can’t decide whether to sew on Aida and make a picture to cover the hole or on plastic canvas and leave it dangling in the hole where it can be kept as a decoration.

Difficult decision, either would look good. I hope you can find some designs you like.

Two rows on the blanket yesterday, two rows today. My willpower is weak - I keep logging in to my MMO to do stuff there instead of knitting, sigh. But at least I'm getting *something* done.

I measured the blanket a few days ago, and it was at 44". Then I spent two hours over several days knitting. Measured again, and I got... 40". >_< I should not have negative progress! I know it's just because I didn't have it stretched out as much, but man is that demoralizing.

Oof, that's a blow, but I'm sure stretched out properly you'll find you've made forward progress. Well done for what you've managed to achieve in spite of distractions.

I once solved The Case of the Missing YOs but I admit the mysterious shrinking blanket has me stumped.
