Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've knitted three more mouse bodies, I just haven't sewn up and stuffed them yet. I think I'll knit a few more before I start the sewing up, and maybe crochet the ears as well. I'm doing plain ones at the moment, but once I get the hang of them again I'll start making striped mice.

I found that I made the best progress when making lots of the same items (or, at least similar ones) when I did one step on all of them first, then the second step on all of them and so on. It worked like a charm when I had to make twice 24 felt Christmas Elves for two different Advent calendars.

It does work very well that way, I made a bunch of pumpkins in batches of ten. I might do the same with the mice, ten at a time.

Maybe... It really depends on how they look once they're sewn up and stuffed. The first one wasn't all that successful. Hopefully the others will turn out better.

I bought the sparkly pom-poms for the sparkly stars. I glued them on. Now I have 4 stars with white pom-poms on both sides, 4 stars with pale purple ones and 4 stars with light blue ones. I hope the glue will hold... a few of them have already come loose and I had to glue them back. Alas, I can't use double-sided tape on such 3D items; *that* would hold. I'm still hopeful, though. Tomorrow the hangings will be done, and then there'll be a pic. Unless the things come apart, of course.

Keeping my fingers crossed that once the glue sets it will hold. They sound like they'll be beautifully sparkly!

I find that they look good enough. It doesn't come out right on the photo, but I'm content with them.

As long as you're happy with the result that's really all that matters. I'm sure they're lovely though.

Thanks. It turns out, I'll have to remove some of the pom-poms and glue them on again, as they've slithered away from the star centre and got fixed in the wrong position, but I'm leaving that for later.

I finished the tapestry this morning. I took it off the frame and this is it (if you click on it the image is in focus not sure why it’s not showing clear in the post):



I spent about an hour attaching the next one to the frame. I’m going to do some crochet now.

I’m hoping to take it to the framer tomorrow a long with a couple of paintings (not done by me!). Unfortunately one of them is currently mislaid, not sure why it wasn’t with the other.

First crochet project finished. I crocheted up a little bag to put the TV remote into so I can now hang it from the hook on the light I have next to me when I’m crafting. It’s a hypersensitive remote and I keep accidentally turning the tv off when I try to keep it next to me by dropping things on it or shifting position and almost leaning on it. Hopefully this will solve or at least reduce how often I do it. I used up some scrap yarn into the bargain 😉

I hope you find the other painting in time tp take all three items to the framer.

What a clever idea! It might also help keep the remote from wandering off the way they do, and using up some scrap yarn is a bonus.

Wow, she's really beautiful! That's some seriously intricate stitching!

Attaching canvases (or aida) to frames is such a tedious and time consuming task. At least it's out of the way now though and you can start work on it anytime you want without having to fiddle.

Good luck with the crochet. Have you decided what you'll make?

Four rows on the blanket today. I'd hoped for six, but it was like pulling teeth to do anything on it at all today, so I'm happy with four.

Also did 20 minutes on the crocheted shawl.
