Check-In Post December 9th 2020
Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: There's so much waste these days, so do you have any crafty ideas on how to recycle things that otherwise might get thrown away?
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Not much knitting today, a mere 3 rows on arm warmers, but I did sew up the light bluer pair so they're finished. I was on the last bit of the last seam when I dropped my sewing up needle., so then I had to hunt around for that *sigh* Turned out it fell in my bag of knitting. I hate losing needles, even blunt ones.

Die cutting sounds fun.

The needle slid right off the yarn. The eye is too big, I need to get some smaller ones because I lost the ones I used to have.

Which I'm now realizing is WEIRD. Half the time I wasn't allowed to use a paring knife. Why was I using a huge machete paper cutter and a die cut machine? Adults, bonkers.

I'm not going to get done with MIL headband #2 tonight, but hopefully tomorrow. Some photos: MIL headbands

Oooh, pretty! Hope you get time to work on headband #2 soon.

I am not good with recycling but I try to remember that all parts of a package (the box, the bubble wrap, etc) are fun for the boys (toilet paper and paper towel rolls, too) and keep things for them to destroy.
I planned my last two cross stitch squares but haven't actually started yet. Wednesday is shopping day so I was toodling hither and thither and dealing with the World Outside.

It's amazing what can be done with toilet roll tubes, they're quite versatile. My rabbit used to love playing with them.
Some days are just not good for crafting because of RL stuff. Dealing with the outside world these days is never fun.
