Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I made a few more sparkly paper stars. They aren't finished yet, I still have to find a method for the hanging that would fit their looks. I also cut the rest of the sparkly paper into small squares for further stars. Not much, I know, but at least something.

The Halloween candy is bagged up, hope I've got enough! I've got a bit in reserve to make up a few more bags if necessary, but there won't be as much variety in those.

Re-did the wonky sign I made last year. It's still wonky, but I got new felt-tip markers and now the colours are bright and clear. The writing is still all over the place and my bats aren't very batty, but you can't have everything.

Also did a few rows of neck shaping on the blobby sweater before Strictly's Halloween Week show. Couldn't knit while it was on this week because there was so much to see. The costumes were amazing! Still not sure what lobsters have to do with Halloween though...

No - can't think of a single reason for having lobsters at Hallowe'en.

At least they're black...

It was strange, but quite fun. Lobsters just don't really fit with werewolves, demons, Frankenstein monsters, etc.

Well, since Anya (in Buffy) was deadly afraid of bunnies, perhaps some people find lobsters scary?

Well done on all your preparations. Lobsters and Halloween… not my first thought of a pairing but I guess they’re a bit scary looking 🦞those pincers look a bit on the vicious scale!

Unfortunately the dancers weren't at all scary, more hilarious than anything. I have no clue who came up with the idea =/

Working on the tapestry (had a nap first in the hopes of staying awake long enough to achieve something- it’s been a bad week for crafting progress. I really want to try to get this finished quickly so I can see if I can get it framed for Christmas as a gift. Plus I’d like to make or finish some other things before then as well.

Good luck with the tapestry! Napping first is a sound strategy, just hope it works.
