Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I've finished the first side of the neck shaping in the blobby sweater and started the second side, but I've had to unpick part of a row thanks to a join in the yarn. Oh well, not the end of the world. I'll carry on with this sweater next weekend.

I've made the bigger angel (not *that* big, actually, the difference is perhaps 2 or 3 centimetres) today, and two six-pointed stars, richly decorated with sparklies. Picture coming up, soon.

I finished the 11th square for my throw (Lavendar). I'm now taking a break from the throw as there are a few Christmas things I'm planning on knitting for the next couple of months.

I added a few rows to the ripple baby afghan I’m working on. I need to decide if I want to keep on with this color or switch colors. Also I want to start a small granny square afghan to use up some of my stash.

That's good - if it's not very big it must be growing quite quickly.

I am convinced that however much one does, the stash never gets any smaller!

Kids and Crafts

I finally finished this spin that seemed to take forever! Also finished my little colorwork tree ornament.

The Enting and I did a little bit of crafting together, too. Cutting out felt and glueing random things to to it and turning them into puppets. He calls them Mummy, Daddy, and Nonny (family friend), and he’s clearly going through an impressionist phase ;)

Despite being crafty, I’ve not really been into doing crafty stuff with him (and for a while he didn’t seem interested, too), but I may have gotten excited and bought some wintery themed craft kits he and I can decorate the house for the coming season ^_^

(I also got us pumpkins to carve last week for Halloween, but as everyone was down with a stomach bug this weekend, I decided to hold off until next weekend. In any case, no one can see our front door anyway so it’s just for us…)

Well done on your progress on your projects. It's great fun when young ones are the right age to craft with - I loved the time I had to spend with my nephew and niece - my nephew is now too old and my time with my niece has been hampered by recent times - we've been able to resume just in the last couple of months after missing about a year.
