Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.
Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?
There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.
Today's Question: No question today.
If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.
I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

I've added another 20 rows to the second arm warmer, leaving that at 140, and I've cast off but it's too tight so I'll have to re-do that once I've finished the first arm warmer.

Yay! Replacement parts that’s brilliant news. Writing and knitting sounds like you’ve been very productive. Is that you almost finished on the arm warmers? How’s the nail biting sweater?

I like windy days, but when it's hammering the rain against the windows it can be deafening.
Yes, another 20 rows and the other one will be finished, then it's just a case of casting off the finished one a bit more loosely and stitching up the side seam, which is boring but necessary.
The sweater is almost done, but next I have to sew up a shoulder seam and pick up for the neckband, and I just haven't been in the mood for it. I'll get it done soon. hopefully, and after that it's yet more sewing up. I often wish I could skip that step. It's easy enough, just tedious.

I know what you mean about the sewing up part of projects, still it will be worth it when you’re done and have a nice new sweater and the arm warmers (I think you said they were for someone else?) then you get to pick your next project. 😉

It will, and I think the sweater will look good when it's completed. I just prefer the knitting to the sewing up. Yes, the arm warmers are for a friend so I hope they'll be appreciated.
Picking a new project is almost the best part. I have SO MANY patterns I want to knit, and so much yarn to use up. I might be doing another red one, I have to unravel a sweater I was knitting which was never going to fit, and knit the yarn up into something else - I already have the pattern picked out, a nice simple one. But there are several other patterns I'm eager to try, so it's not a firm decision yet.

Thanks! The pieces were a bit damp when I cut them out of their plastic packaging, so I'm hoping they'll feel dry enough tomorrow for painting.
