Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Stuck with a headache all day and I'm really not enjoying having the fire to clean out twice daily, but I did a bit of touching up on the shed (some of the bits that have been stuck in the wrong places). Can't do too much until the replacement weather boards arrive because they'll all need to be painted with wood stain and there's not an awful lot left.

Saturday is Strictly, so no work on the sweater this time, but I started the second arm warmer and did 40 rows. It's single rib, so easy to do while watching TV.

40 rows? Wow! You never rest for a minute, do you?

I do rest sometimes! The rows are short, only 59 stitches, so it's less than it sounds, and spread out over almost 2 hours instead of my usual 40 to 45 minutes.

Well, the popsicle houses are finished and I've promised a pic about the angels as well, haven't I? Here they are:



Admittedly, they are a bit rustical, but for first attempts they aren't that bad, I think. Today I made 6 more 'jewelled' snowflakes. There will be a picture when the remaining three are made as well.

I have a lot to do today that isn't knitting, which I've partially neglected in favour of knitting. I'm still working on the new version of my baby sweater. I've divided for the sleeves and knit the first few rows of the body to stabilize the stitches I picked up at the underarms, plus I checked that I'm getting gauge this time (and I like the look and feel of the fabric a lot more on 3.5mm needles than I did on 3.25mm needles). Now I just have to find time to keep working on it!

Life does get in the way of crafting, sadly, but it sounds like you're making great progress now! It's amazing the difference a change in needle size can make.
