Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I got the second coat on the shed doors, including all the edges, and the narrow wall panels each side of the doors. Then, while I had the doors propped open so the edges could dry, it rained *sigh* I had to dash out and close everything up. Hopefully they won't stick.

Also done another 12 rows on the front, which brings me to where I'll be starting the neck shaping tomorrow. Woohoo!

They'd been left for several hours so I think they should be alright.

Looks like there should be enough yarn, and a bit more! YAY!

So as promised my two canvases - what are your thoughts on which I should tackle next - the orangey one or the more pink one?

Those are both lovely. I would probably do the pink one next, but it would depend on the colours I'd been using for the last project, as I like to have a change.

My current project will end with lots of blue but has been pretty varied on the way there.

It's hard to choose, really. I like the first picture better but the colours of the second one are more pleasing to the eye, IMO.

I think I’m with you on that. I prefer the solitary dolphin but I think I like the colours in the other design more.

It's easy enough for viewers to adjust the size themselves, no problem there.

They're both lovely, it's hard to choose, but I'm going to vote for the orangey one.

I like the orangy one, but really, it's whatever you like!

Mum found some gift bags that can't be used for their original purpose because they are torn. One had a nice pattern of solver snowflakes and stars, so I decided to give this a try:

I made the individual parts without much difficulty, but when they were all done, I could only fit five of them into one motif. So now I've got a 5-pointed star instead of a 6-pointed one, and I can't for my life figure out what went wrong. Ah, well, it looks well enough with five points, too. I'll take photos when there will be at least two of them.

They seem so easy, and they actually aren't that complicated - until you start putting the individual parts together.

I like both versions, but I like things to end up what they are supposed to be, not what I've mcgyvered together in an hour of despair. ;)

Yes, I know that feeling. It's so frustrating when you can't figure out WHY it's not working the way it's supposed to, but hopefully you'll solve the mystery.

They're pretty nice stars. I'd think 5 pointed ones would be nice too!

I've no problems with 5-pointed ones - unless I've made all 6 parts and now can't fit them together! *is frustrated*

Those are really cool. I think they'd look jsut as good as five pointed stars.

The new less-grey rocking horse wig arrived and it's a better colour so now I can finish that off and put the bridle on.

Although... I must have missed some previous post about the grey wig.

The grey wig was a bit too close to the colour the horse ended up, but it won't be wasted as it's a great hallowe'en colour. I ordered a new lighter, whiter wig which is a better colour.
