Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another exhausting day very much like yesterday, but all that's left for me is to paint the doors and touch up any bits that the stain didn't cover properly. There are still other things to be done, the windows have to be put in, the lintels need to be attached, the hasp for the padlock isn't on yet, and there are slats to be screwed over the joins between the panels that make up the shed to keep rain out. All of that can be done now that the outer walls are finished, so next time my friend comes over with his rechargeable screwdriver thing, he can complete the finishing touches. Then I can do any more necessary touching up, and the shed will be ready to use. Yay.

I've done another 12 rows on the back, so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed and finish the back first (another 12 rows) then hope there's enough yarn left to finish the front. I think there should be because the neck shaping means I'll need less for the front.

Wow! That was a lot of work for one day. Are your fingers still working properly?

Just about. My hands are tired, but not painful. The worst part was having to practically stand on my head to see what I was doing when painting the bottom edge of each overlapping plank. The lowest one is only 8 inches from the ground, and on the side I was painting I was wedged into an 18 inch gap between the side of the shed and the back of a greenhouse. Good thing I'm small and skinny! I've decided I don't like painting sheds, and I'll have to do it every year =/

At least I only have the easy part left. The doors are nice, smooth planks, unlike the rough ones that make up the walls.

Thanks. My hands and arms are tired, but nothing has seized up so I'm taking that as a good sign.

Not a lot of rest, but the shed takes priority at the moment, it needs to be done and dry before the rains return. Then I can collapse.

Not much done today. Well, aside from housework and a bit of writing. Still very tired, and tomorrow promises to be the same. I'm aiming for Wednesday for anything crafty to be done, honestly.

Relax as much as you can between the necessary chores. You need to give your batteries a chance to re-charge.

Still plodding along on the tapestry. Have finished everything in another colour band which leaves just four more to go - each one has more to do then the one before but I can almost roll up so that I can see all the bits left to fill.

Extremely behind in catching up, but my sister was visiting. I did paint my back deck and the garden beds around it and the front sleeper garden beds. The paint didn't tint the way I had hoped, but it looks nice anyway.

The reproduction brooches I was having made have arrived, and they're pretty nice. Not quite what I was hoping for, and I will definitely go with the Polish guy who I discovered already making them for future. These ones that were made for me will be certainly usable for gift packs with books or special things. I'll do a post to explain better about that. Not tonight though.

Seems we're doing a similar thing, applying wood stain to various items! I still need to do another coat on the shed door, and some more touching up.

Shame the brooches aren't quite what you were after, but at least they're still nice.
