Had a hard morning helping to move the old, crumbling sleepers out of the way in preparation for the arrival of the new ones for the shed base. It was exhausting so I didn't think I'd get much knitting done, but I did my twelve rows on the sweater front plus ten arm-warmer rows. I'm up to 120, so I might start the second one and decide whether to make them any longer when I see how much yarn is left.

Thanks. I don't recommend trying to pick up railway sleepers though. I have a feeling my arms are longer and my legs shorter than they were o_O

Neither can I! but it's a lot more relaxing than lifting heavy railway sleepers!

I've worked a bit on my pillow-case; the reverse side is done, now all I have to do is to stitch around the whole thing on the right side with blanket stitch and fill it with cherry stones.

Well done, that's really fast progress!

I felt like doing something quick and easy for a change. :) besides, it is a really small pillow, roughly 25 cm by 25 cm or somesuch, so it doesn't require much sewing.

Planned out my Nerdopolis challenge projects. One of the challenges is to pick someone in your fandom that you want to be like. I have chosen Zidane from Final Fantasy IX, who has such a kind heart. A quote from him: "You don't need a reason to help people." Zidane wears turquoise colored clothing, so late last night I started knitting a turquoise colored hat. I did the cast on and one round last night, and then 2.5 rounds this afternoon.

I also did another motif of the Peppermint Throw.

Today I'm making up some free giveaway gift packs to go with books sales at Love Your Bookshop Day next weekend. I had thought long and hard about what kind of cute love-themed things I could include which would be cheap for me but still cute. It occurs to me I should be thinking medieval. So... medieval aphrodisiacs include things like onions and nasturtiums.. onions are cheap and I have seeds from my garden. I'm adding garlic cloves and beeswax candles because I had a huge lot made a long time ago by my daughter. I'll possibly only need 10 or 15 at most packs. I'm putting them in calico bags I got given free so it's a surprise to tie into the "Secret Sex" theme of the book and "Love" for the bookshop day. Hopefully it will be funny and not pathetic.
