Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another busy day outside, and I think I've picked out the shed I want. Just got to order it. The skip should be taken away on Monday, so I'll be able to order the reclaimed railway sleepers for the shed base. WOO!

And I've done my 12 rows for today. One more pattern repeat and the second sleeve will be done!

The prospect of a new shed is very exciting! The skip was supposed to go tomorrow but they can't collect it until Monday, which is a nuisance. I just hope they show up on Monday. Last time I had a skip I was stuck with it for weeks.

I'm such a fan of old railway sleepers. I can see why you'd want to use them!

Me too, they make such a strong, sturdy base for a shed, among other things. The ones I'm getting are Dutch oak.

The mini-mittens are finished!

There'll be pictures, soon. When I was done in the late afternoon there wasn't enough natural light left for the iPad mini to take a decent photo.

I've also started the popsickle project, giving these angels a try. Well, one angel anyway. Mine is totally different (there will be pictures later), not half this professional, but I'm quite pleased with the outcome. Recently, I've also made a snowflake ornament, based on these, although much more minimalistic. The plan is to give various ornaments a try and then start mass production on those that cause the least problems. *g*

I couldn’t see the angels but the stars are good - I’ve made similar in the past. Well done on completing the mini mittens. Great work.

Those are some cute Angels but they look a lot more time-consuming than the stars!

Actually, mine was done fairly quickly. Of course, I cheated and used cardboard to keep it together. *g*

Sounds pretty good. I remember we used to make little cardboard cone-shaped ones when I was a kid. They were brilliant!

Two rows on the blanket.

I have 17" left to knit. I want to finish by US Thanksgiving, which is 63 days away. If my math is correct, I can finish by then if I do just 2-3 rows a day. That sounds doable!

Good luck with the blanket knitting! 2 or 3 rows a day doesn't sound too much, but I know they're long rows and the blanket must be quite heavy by now. Even with the bulk of it on your lap it probably drags at your needles.

I finished the first bobbin, so I did more rolags on the blending board of the second ply. Then I got to spinning!

I may also be doing some shopping at World of Wool, because I have all the spinning dreams now.

Thanks! There was a time when I spun for hours every day! Then not at all for years! It’s been on and off for the last year and a half or so, but I’d really like it to be something more consistent again.

The next test is whether or not the Enting has reached a stage where I can have the wheel out around him without disaster ^_^

He's at that age where he really might want to have a try when you're not looking. Maybe if you have some sacrificial wool, it might be fun to let him have a go. It's really magical.
