Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another 12 sleeve rows, but I'm going to need another pattern repeat for my slightly longer than average arms. I can't abide sleeves that aren't long enough.

Also 10 more arm warmer rows.

I got out in the garden for a bit too, although it was a bit damp. Not really raining, just an occasional drip.

You are amazingly consequent with your progress. :)
And yeah, sleeves that don't fit are a nuisance. I've got the opposite problem: any clothes that are big enough for me to fit in, usually have sleeves at least ten centimetres longer than my arms.

Thanks, I'm trying my best to keep to a routine.

I'd rather have sleeves too long than too short, but that's quite a lot too long!

Not really, it's supposed to rain for the next two days, but I'm not doing anything that I can't stop and start as necessary. Next there's a skip to be hired to dump the collapsing sheds in with a view to getting a nice new shed once the garage roof has been replaced. Assuming I can find one with a decent floor.

I had a lazy day. Looked at some patterns, both for the lolly stick project and for the tiny felt Christmas mittens I might make as decorations, but that was about all. Finding really simple patterns is time-consuming. *g*

Fun to spend time looking and seeing all the possibilities, but finding the perfect one is a challenge all of its own.

Oh, but looking for them is so much fun *grins* It can eat up whole days!

I did a little more of Eeyore, I also spent a bit of time organising supplies after finding the missing box of threads - turned out to be more than one box missing. I have them neat and organised after a fashion but actually have a box into which they could all be transferred but they all need wrapping on thread holders to do so I have decided I'll just do a couple at a time - particularly as my focus at the moment is on using up kits. I also found some more books of cross-stitch patterns - some I don't remember at all, others I do remember. I found another 'kit' that isn't a kit - it's a pattern and some charms - for this one I'd need to buy a dark aida (it shows it on black, but I think a dark blue would probably also work) so really unlikely to get done any time soon, as I'm pretty sure the one craft supply shop here won't have anything like that.

I also found some tapestries but no wools for them.

I then got sucked into the outlining on the Mickey Mouse picture and ended up staying up to finish it. Hopefully will try to get a picture and post that tomorrow. I'm quite pleased with the end result of this one.

Wow, you've been busy! Glad you found your missing threads - and more, you'll have plenty to play with.

What kind of thread holders do you use? I'll confess I keep mine in freezer bags in a couple of boxes, one for Anchor and one for DMC.

Congratulations on finishing Mickey, I'm looking forward to seeing a picture!

The rocking horse mane and tail arrived today but I'm not sure about them. They're a silver grey but very like the horse itself and I was thinking lighter would be better.

I did some hemming on the medieval wool gown I was working on and haven't finished while I'm thinking about it. I have a really big to do list but might have another early night instead. :)

Always best to think things through before forging ahead. That way you're more likely yo be pleased with the result rather than disappointed.

Good that you're making progress on the gown.

Early nights are a perfectly valid option. I could do with one myself.
