Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another exhausting day in the garden, trying to get stuff done before the rain tomorrow. Spent about 4 hours out there working. The tree surgeon came and gave me a quote for tree removal that was less than half what I was expecting, so I'm booked in for the middle of next month. He's even going to deal with the 6 maple trees in the hedges that I keep cutting down and they just keep growing back. They're all self-set, and having them got rid of only added another £25 to the original quote. Yay!

Still managed to get my 12 rows of knitting done, so that's 6 pattern repeats completed.

Fantastic news about the quote - so rare for them to come back at less than expected. Well done on another pattern repeat- you’re making brilliant progress. Have you confirmed you gave enough for the pattern yet?

I'm very happy. At such a good price I might have them back for some other stuff. I even get to keep the logs! My garden is wildlife friendly, so logs are a good thing.

Thanks. That's just about all I did today - gardening, a bit of knitting, and a bit of writing. It was enough!

Even trees growing where they were planted can be a menace. The conifer was supposed to be small and slow growing, but it's about 25 ft tall now, and growing a lot faster since I cut off all the lower branches.

The second pair of oven mitts - the one with the revised design- is done. One more pair to do; by the time it's finished I might even iron out some of the faults that resulted from experimenting. ;-)

Let me see if I can tell you what someone told me.

Click the Home button on your dreamwidth account and go to the 'Create' menu.

Select Upload Images, then select a photo from your computer. Fill in title and description, then save.

Then if you click on View your Images at the top of the page you'll find each image is assigned two codes, Image Embed and Thumbnail Embed. The Thumbnail one is best in comments, the Image one is better for posts to journals. Just copy and past into your comment or post.

If you have any problems, just ask and I'll try to help. I'm a bit of a tech dunce but I try!
