Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

With my usual complete inability to estimate how much yarn I have left, I've completed another 12 row pattern repeat on the sweater back, which makes 10. There's enough yarn left for maybe a couple more rows, but call that a VERY rough estimate.

I've also knitted the ribbed cuff of the first sleeve. Did that this afternoon when I should have been doing other things, maybe out in the garden, but I was feeling tired and lazy so I knitted instead.

According to the pattern it needs to be another 9 inches longer, which is why I'm worried about the amount of yarn. I guess I could have it a bit shorter, it's about 16 inches right now but I don't think I can get away with anything less than 21 inches. This is straight up to the shoulder.

I'll see how the first sleeve goes. I do need to have enough left for the neckband as well though.

Gardening will depend on the weather. If it's wet I'm staying indoors. I might anyway if I'm still sore from going out on Tuesday.

So, does that mean you'll have enough yarn to finish the sweater after all?

I have no idea, still too soon to know. I need to make a sleeve first, see how much yarn that takes. Then I'll have a better idea of whether I can get away with it, maybe by making the body a bit shorter than the pattern recommends. It's supposed to be 25 inches to the shoulder, at the moment it's 16 inches and I've almost used all of the first ball of yarn. I have 4 more balls.

If the sleeves take less than a ball each then maybe I'll have just enough if I knock a few inches off the body length, but that's a lot of ifs and maybes.

I've done 12 rows on granddaughter's cardigan today, including the sparkly unicorn tail!

I'm doing rather well on a crocheted lap blanket! I have a feeling I'm making up some improper crochet stitches, but it's growing fast and looks okay, so I'm not going to worry about that. As I'm out of the blue colour, I think I'll just do a white border and call it finished. (I hope.)

I started my paint-by-number but am not far enough along for a photo. I finished a 500 piece puzzle called Steepin' and Soakin'.

It does look good, no? Thanks! I am. It's a small canvas and delicate work with a tiny brush but I think it'll look nice when I'm done.

Main colour of cave wall/ceiling is now finished, just the contrast colour left to do there and then a few small pieces to add shading to the flooring. I also outlined the second broom today. Lots of other outlining to do on Mickey, the steps and flooring and the book of magic but definitely approaching finished. It never ceases to amaze me when I start work on the outlining just how much difference that makes to the stitching.

I have also found the outlining to make a big difference. Sometimes if I contemplate skipping it because it's one more step, but I always find it well worth that extra effort. Congrats on your progress.

Outlining is definitely a good thing, in all crafts. I do it when making cards or other paper crafts all the time; it gives everything some extra depths.

Yes, I agree. Outlining just brings everything to life, changing it from blobs of colour into a picture.

Recently I finished a very simple granny square blanket as a stash buster. This little baby blanket took the remnants of three balls of yarn.
