Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Another twenty rows on my sleeve. With any luck I should finish it tomorrow! Then I'll have to finish the back.

Already wondering what to knit next...

You're racing through this one. Do you have wool you want to use?

I still have the rest of the back and all the front to do, which is at least another two weeks of knitting and probably more like three, but it's coming along quite well.

Oh, so MUCH wool, like enough for at least another 13 projects... I can't decide on the next one between bright blue, sky blue, dark red, or the brighter red that I already part-knitted a sweater out of but need to undo and make something else... I do at least have the pattern picked out for that.

Thank you very much. There are four bases. Since I'm using coloured wool from my stash I can do what I want - I'm planning on doing another one - different pattern and then probably taking a break.

That's great, when you're done you'll have a set of four, with different designs.

More cross-stitch - no significant elements finished - just progress which is fine.

That's often the way with cross stitch, it grows slowly and suddenly the pattern becomes clear.

Progress is the aim though, you can't get anywhere without it.

I’m staying at my parents at the moment - it’s my birthday! - so limited internet time, but lots of knitting time. I’ve finished the blanket square I was working on and made good progress on the next square! (I actually knit so much this week that my arm was sore and I had to take a break so I have been working on a little cross-stitch kit my parents gave me, it was supposed to be a birthday present but I got it early because apparently I looked a bit lost without a craft project to work on!)
