Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Well done on your battling and your knitting. Hopefully you can relax for the rest of the evening.

Your sleeve continues to grow, unlike, hopefully the ivy!

We're due to have rain too, but as you say whether that does in fact happen is a different matter.

See how you go!

This is me attempting to show the cross-stitch finished last night so advanced apologies if something goes wrong. I will edit and try again! Sorry for multiple attempts- I’m trying to get the size to be not too huge and not too small!

Peter Pan cross-stitch

Tonight I’ve done about an hour of crochet - nothing fancy, I’m just making squares for a blanket - 2 colour squares in a variety of colours to use up some of the mass of yarn that’s hanging around. It might be that I’ve not really crocheted since last Christmas but one hour was the outside colour for one square and the inside of the next one. Now I’m going to do a bit of another unfinished cross-stitch for a while.

It doesn't look too bad now I've finished. I think the next one is going to be an easier process, although it will take me longer to finish as there is more left to do.

I've spent time planning my granddaughter's Christmas present today. The instructions I received from my son when I asked if she'd like something knitted were: Cardigan: pink; cats, rainbows, unicorns.

I was despairing of finding a pattern, but then I found I still had a Patons School Classics which I'd used when he and his sister were small. The ideal basic pattern. And I've a grid for unicorn heads for the front of the cardigan, but haven't yet found a grid for one for the back. I shall do rainbow stripes round the bottom (above the rib).

Thank you. I will have a look for horse charts. I want a whole unicorn for the back.

Sounds exciting and anything with rainbows and unicorns has got to be good.

The kitty has been sick and I've been a bit unwell too- Covid swabbed today but more likely hayfever- so I've been just catching up on household jobs that need doing, reading and joining the cat in some bird watching. We've had 4 brand new plover chicks outside our door and while the parental screaming all night was annoying, the chickies were gorgeous. I've also downloaded a 3D koi fish screensaver for my tablet to de-stress the cat and as soon as she's up I'll be playing that with her.

I'm hoping to get back to sewing today or tomorrow. I'm kinda worn out, so maybe just an early night.
Loving all you motivated craft people though!

Hope you feel better soon. I suspect we all have days of different productivity.
