Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

My thumb is aching, but I finished the rib for the front and managed a full 32 row pattern repeat. Didn't get off to the best start because the first cable row, I completely forgot to cable, so I had to unpick 2 rows. *headdesk*

Belated congratulations on finishing the back, plus further congratulations on finishing the front rib. Yes, a cable row without cable is a little unfortunate.

Yes, unfortunately there are two kinds of cable patterns, and the actual cables are all on different rows so it's a bit difficult to keep track of which one twists on which row. Missing the very first cable though... you'd think I'd at least get that one right!

*grins* It was indeed annoying, I hate making mistakes, but I fixed it.

Mistakes have the annoying habit of setting back a project enormously. It's a good thing you could fix it.

Didn't post yesterday because it got late (and no, I wasn't watching the football), but I have now knitted the elephant's head and trunk.

As mentioned before, I've done a bit more prep work for the big popsicle project. Namely, painting popsicles to different colours. Eight colours so far, the silver one coming up, since I didn't have silver paint. A few very busy days are ahead, so I might have to save my time for writing. The story is almost done - after 16 years!

No, actually the individual pieces will have one colour, each. I'm just making a heap of differently coloured sticks, so that I can simply choose the colour I like and make the decorations.

And yeah, I'm getting tentatively hopeful regarding the fic.

I know, but they'll still be colourful when looked at together, even though each one is a single colour with various embellishments. They're going to be very decorative
