Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Finished both sleeves, and knitted 16 rows on the back of the sweater to get it up to a good length. Armhole shaping next.

That is growing fast! I presume the sleeve shaping was successful.

Um... That remains to be seen. They're shaped, but whether or not the sleeve shaping will match up to the raglan shaping on the front and back when I come to sew the pieces together is anyone's guess. If it ends up a bit wonky, that's tough. It was cheap yarn, and as long as the sweater is wearable I'm not going to complain. I've finished two really lovely sweaters this year, so if this one ends up being less than successful it won't be a big deal.

I failed to check in yesterday. Didn't do much, though I did finish my sun hat! Here it is:



I also knit a few rounds on the rat yesterday.

Today, I:

* typed up some more of my FFII walkthrough
* did a chapter in Code This Game!
* knit one row on the blanket
* knit four rounds on the rat

So, small progress on various things but altogether adds up to a productive day.

I have a complete working game now from Code This Game! There's still more chapters left, in which you "break" the game to rebalance it. It needs rebalancing. Right now it is VERY trivial to win the game. I've already decided on ways to make the game more difficult, which I will implement on my one if the book doesn't tell me to do it.

I'm also glad to get back to the blanket. One row isn't much but it's better than nothing!

The rat sounds like it's coming along well, and yay for progress on the blanket. I know that even one row takes quite a while to knit.

Well done with your coding. It's a bit like writing, get the basics down then add the details, all the bits that make the story more interesting and complex.

In the last three days i've been colouring little cardboard stars for the upcoming popsicle project, to bridge over my writer's block with something useful. By hand. With acrylic pens. The stars have a diameter of 1 cm. I've got sausage fingers. You can imagine the resulting fight.

Yikes! Try holding them down with the tip of a popsicle stick or something else small. It might be easier than fingers getting in the way.

I used a fine pair of tweezers; the one my Grandpa handled her stamp collection with. But even so, it was finicky work. I'm glad this phase is over: all 72 stars are coloured - now comes the decoration: glitter and/or tiny patterns by acrylic pen and the likes.

That's certainly not going to be an easy job, but I'm sure they'll be worth the effort!

Not to mention that doing it I can use small shards of time that aren't good for anything else.

On second counting only 70, actually, not 72, but it's still a lot.
