Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Plodded my way through another 32 rows on sleeve two while watching the last episodes of Babylon 5. Took longer than usual because I couldn't always see what I was doing.

I do a rewatch every year ago because it's still probably the best SF series ever made. It never gets old.

I was pleased. 32 rows = 1 pattern repeat.

I'm currently wishing my life choices had included rather less ssk. Sigh. It takes three times as long as k2tog! Never mind, the Reyna is making good progress.

I feel your pain!

You want something that takes forever, try purling three together >.< The positions I have to get my arm into trying to get the right hand needle through three stitches on the left hand needle at the same time... I feel like a contortionist!

Did a few rounds on the fingerless mitt.

Also, a few rounds on the sun hat.

Started an embroidery project! It's my very first time doing embroidery. I picked up the kit from my library for FREE about a month ago. I fear all the French Knots I'll have to do -- I've tried them in the past and could never figure them out.

But mostly, played video games today. Think I needed the break.

You're making good progress, glad the sun hat seems to finally be coming together.

Good luck with the embroidery! I used to hate French knots (I do cross stitch) and they still sometimes go wrong, but it's mostly a matter of practising, or it least it has been for me.

We all need a break sometimes. Hope you enjoyed your video games.

On a roll with crafting and enjoying this week off work. Seems a fair recompense for the year from hell, and on a higher pay grade thanks to my promotion.
I quite like the little routine so far: lazy toast in bed, dabbling on the internet/writing until 10, shower, crafting until lunch, break/more writing/more crafting, dinner, whatever, bed. A shame it isn't permanent!
Up to 24 mini cards since Saturday. Promise photos when the light is better.

Glad you're enjoying your week off, and you're being so productive! You must be an early riser; I don't drag myself out of bed until 9 most days because I'm so tired all the time.

You're zooming along with the mini cards! Getting the light right for taking photos can be difficult, especially in winter when the daylight is there then gone again.

I'm normally awake around 5.45-6.00 to get up around 6.20 to get ready for work, but at the moment sleeping in til about 8. I'm not a night owl like you. 10.30 and I'm totally done in. :)
I've just been lazy not taking photos in the morning when the light is best. Days are meant to be getting longer but it feels like it's getting darker earlier still.

Oooh, you morning person you! But I guess you have to be anyway what with your commute to work.

You'll get the photos done when they get done, there's no rush.

I hate that days are already getting shorter but summer still doesn't seem to have got off the ground yet. It's just rain, rain, and more rain *sigh* Between that and my health problems I've hardly ventured out in the garden over the last two months. I had such plans, but nothing's getting done.

Don't worry, I'm still grumpy and tired in the morning but I do tend to get work that needs concentration done better first thing, and more creative pursuits come out later at night as I well (as in really late). I kept leaving myself little notes last night because I couldn't sleep and little snippets of my story kept popping into my head. If I don't write the down straight away I forget them completely. I was hoping to make progress on a large wip this week, but another project has totally taken over. I'll need double coffee this morning!

Yes, I have to note things down right away of they fall through the holes in my head and get lost. Of course there's no guarantee I'll be able to read the notes I write...

What a great day! Holidays are the best! I offended my cat by going back to work today after a week off. 24 mini cards is quite an achievement!

I'm really hoping to get some medieval brooches cast from my collection so I can sell them and I've been talking with a guy about making them. Super excited as a bit of pocket money would be good, and I will be able to tie them into my book promotions as well for special events, like Valentine's day or whatever. Spent a bit of time today sending measurements and hi res photos and talking about finishes etc. Fingers crossed this pans out.
