Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Okay, I've cast on for the back of the fuchsia sweater and ribbed 5 rows. The yarn is a bit on the stretchy side so I don't know yet how it will knit up. We shall see.

I've also sewn up the second shoulder of the white sleeveless top, finished off the neckband, and knitted the first armhole band. The first attempt was too tight so I've re-done in. Next I have to try the top on (even though it's not finished) and check the fit of the armband because it's entirely possible I'll have to try yet again. If the armholes are too small I won't even be able to get it on once the side seams are sewn up.

That's quick, you're clearly keen to get on with your fuchsia sweater. Yep, it does help if you can get your arms into a sweater.

I'd like to get another two sweaters made this year. I've got so much yarn to use up....

Yeah, I'm having to experiment because it says to pick up about 99 sts, then decrease 1 stitch each end of every row. That did NOT work, so second try I decreased each end of every alternate row. I started with 101 stitches and I'm not convinced that was enough. I've only got thin arms, but even so there needs to be room to manoeuvre.

We all have our own skills. It's sewing that terrifies me!

I'm useless today with post-fic giddiness, hah. I don't often write fic, so when I do it really GETS to me and I become high. Today has been mostly spent refreshing websites, which is okay.

Happily, it was well received by the friend I wrote it for! I'm glad she liked it, because she could use some nice things in her life right now.

I might knit some tonight, but chances are I'm just going to play video games. That's okay.

Exactly, it's okay to do whatever you feel like doing, because crafting should be fun and it stops being fun if you have to make yourself do it. The same is true for writing too.

Writing and gaming are both great. Im so old I still miss the original Sim.City and my very favourite Pokemon Snap which was a photography game. What do you play? Something more grown up for sure!

I'm a big Final Fantasy fan! I mostly play Final Fantasy XIV, which is an MMORPG, but I also play two of their mobile games: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, and War of the Visions:FFBE. I keep saying I'm going to play other games other than Final Fantasy, but then FFXIV sucks me back in and I forget that promise.

I'm old too, I've been gaming since Pong and grew up with an Atari 2600. Would you believe I've never played a Pokemon game? I'd like to correct that, but money is tight. I can probably borrow one from the library though! They have all sorts of video games at my local library.

Finished a scarf last night! (well, I say finished, I still need to weave in the many ends (it's striped) and block it...)

This is not the same scarf that was frustrating me a few weeks ago, but rather a new, faster-to-knit one! That other one is still languishing. XD

All those fiddly ends are so annoying when you have to find somewhere to hide them.
