Check-In Post June 20th 2021

Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

The pink sweater is lovely - such an intricate pattern, it looks really good in the pale pink. And I like the red cable sweater too, also a very good match of colour and pattern.

Those are great! Also you can say you finished two adult sweaters within a week (laughs).

Both look great, but I particularly like the pattern of the pink one.

Here are Pages 24 and 25 - the latter with the flap closed because the inside is still unfinished:

The recipe in the foreground will go into the pocket on the left.

You're really making quick progress. Or so it appears from over here. :)

I really do. I want to finish this by the end of June as July is most likely picowrimo month, and then I want to focus on my writing, which I've shamefully neglected in recent times.

Today I put aside the entrelac diamonds for trying out snowflake patterns. On the summer solstice.

My aunt's retired teachers club takes part in the Festival of Trees every year, and their theme this year is something that needs filler. I've tried a couple variations on one I've made before, poked at another I didn't like, and I'm going to try a third. I'd rather make something new as there are a billion snowflake patterns.

Snowflakes sound lovely. And something new is always a pleasant challenge.

Today I mostly worked on a crocheted blanket square that I designed, because I wanted to see if it would work. So far, it's working pretty well. I'm too lazy to take in-progress pics but I'll take pictures and share them when it's done.

I know I mentioned I started the backup plan for the graduation present, but I forget if I said I changed it from a coffee cup cozy to fingerless mitts. I worked on those today too, and am up to the the thumb gusset.

I finished my first woven square on my Zoom Loom! I'm on the second. Here's a pic! I'm using these squares as a submission to my crafting competition: we were challenged to make something red, so hey! This fits!

Two woven squares

I would love to do more work on something but my wrist says NO, so I'm going to play video games instead, or maybe spend more time on Ravelry.

This fits indeed; and it looks lovely, too!
