Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Second shoulder seam and the neckband seam sewn up, and all the slip-stitching and tidying up done. Next step, all the calculations to get ready for setting the sleeves in. Which means a lot of counting stitches. Fun. Not.

Fortunately last time I did that I had patterns in bands on the sleeves so it was a lot easier to see what I was doing!

That does simplify things in some ways, getting everything to match up. I need to make sure the centre top of the sleeve is attached to the top of the shoulder, so first thing is to find and mark the centre of the sleeves.

I may not enjoy all the calculating and sewing up, but I know how to do it from long practice. I'll be fine. Bored perhaps, but fine.

The house deal fell through last night. So we are disappointed but have had all day to get to the "oh well" stage.

As you all were saying the other day, the decluttering does feel good. I'll keep going on that but I do need to pick out a brainless pattern to work on. I didn't even want to start dishcloths if painting etc was imminent.

Oh, that's too bad. Hopefully a better house will come along, and in the meantime you can continue preparations. At least you can relax a bit for a while and unwind with a spot of crafting.

Oh, sorry to hear that. But at least you've got the decluttering done, and that's a win. Now you can relax a bit and occupy your mind with something pleasant.

I am experiencing post-vacation doldrums (it wasn't a true vacation, but being away from home at my sister's house a week was at least partly a vacation!). So I am feeling meh today.

I did do a few rows on the blanket. But I also began executing my backup plan: making a coffee cup cozy in the same pattern as the blanket. I did this with his older brother, too -- didn't finish his blanket by the party, either, so I gave him a cozy and an IOU. I'm still going to work on the blanket over the next 23 days but I'm not going to push myself too hard.

Also: knit a strawberry for my crafting challenge. Two challenges complete, three to go (or four if I'm feeling like overachieving.)

Being home again after being away can do that. But you're still persevering, and being very productive, working on the blanket, the coffee cosy, and a strawberry! Well done!
