Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Glad you've found the error - hope it's relatively easy to work out which row you're on.

Maths you say? Now I know why I never quite mastered it. ;)

I went to a Dare to Dabble craft afternoon, where we made a Temari ball. I'll be doing a post on my blog about them in the next day or so.

It was interesting.

What is a Temari ball?

I'll be explaining when I make my post.

Not much crafting was done in our house today. I worked a bit on the inside of the cooking book today, but that's basically it. I took a day off after the very intense owl project.

Not so yay, since I originally intended to do some writing, but didn't manage to get my head around it. :(

Five rows on the blanket!

Could probably have done more, but yesterday I purchased a Zoom Loom from an online retailer: https://www.schachtspindle.com/product/zoom-loom-4-x-4/

So I spent a good part of today window shopping online for yarns for it. I even attempted to go to a local yarn store, but it doesn't exist any more, oh well.

I plan to buy red yarn, as one of the challenges for my competition is to make something red, and weaving counts. I'll probably just run to Michaels tomorrow.

As for the blanket, I found out the party is July 10th, so if I average 2" a day I can get it done on time.

Isn't it annoying when familiar shops are closing up all around you? Over here, two of my favourite craft shops closed; and they were the ones I could reach easiest, too. :(

Well in this case, I'm about 90 minutes from home watching my sister's dog, so I had attempted to go to a yarn store I had never been to before. It looks like it changed hands; it's still a craft store but now it's for cross stitch. I didn't bother to go in because I don't need another hobby.

It is sad though that stores are closing. I know it's a tough business. There was a yarn store in my former suburb but it only lasted a few years before it closed.
